Raymond Lueras

Raymond Lujan Lueras, 84, passed away at his home in Roswell on Monday, November 10, 2025,to be with our savior and is now reunited again with the love of his life, Enedina. Services : A viewing will be held on Monday, November 17th from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at Anderson Bethany Funeral home. A Rosary will begin at 1:30 PM with Funeral Services to follow the rosary on Monday November 17th, 2025, at St. John's Catholic Church with Deacon Martinez officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. Raymond was born on July 18, 1941 to Emilia Lujan Lueras and Manuel Lueras in Carrizozo, New Mexico. Raymond met his wife Enedina in Roswell at church through his sister in 1991. They were immediately inseparable. Raymond and Enedina were married in 1992 and enjoyed every day of their 30 years spent together. They always helped each other and made sure to show each other their true love. When Raymond was asked by friends why his marriage worked so well (por que)? Raymond would reply: “Because we wouldn’t want it any other way. She was the love of my life.” Raymond was known for his good humor and giving everyone their nicknames. Tio Raymond enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, and being with his friends. He joked and liked to tell the “good and bad” stories about Carrizozo. His brother Jake will cherish his memory of when they were young and him driving the brothers crazy but also being a good friend and loving to drink wine together when they were young. Raymond had a special place in his heart for all of his nieces and nephews and will always be remembered for his kindness to family and friends. Raymond will be dearly missed by his family and friends, but all know he is once again smiling in being united with his love. Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Raymond are his brothers Jake Lueras, Bobby Lueras, Mike(Lollie) Lueras and many nieces and nephews along with great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Enedina P. Rodriguez Lueras. His parents, Emilia and Manuel Lueras, his siblings, Mike (infant) Lueras, Librado Lueras, Tony Lueras, Senaida Allison, Lucy Chavez, Oralia Cervantes, and Erminia (Minnie) Guevara and nephew Max Lueras. Honorary pallbearers will be Kensaac Sanchez, Ramiro Rodriguez, Juan and Mundo Estrada. Pallbearers will be Isaac D. Sanchez, Isaac R. Sanchez, Aliah Rodriguez, Tod Carroll and Jaime Lopez. Raymond’s tribute was written by his family. No reception to follow.
