Refugio Gonzalez Carbajal

Refugio Gonzalez Carbajal was born March 09,1967 to Marcelo Gonzalez & Paula Carbajal. Refugio was one of 13 children. He was the 4th child to be born. His siblings are Maria, Martin, Guadalupe, Rebeca, Carmela, Guadalupe, Adela, Patricia, Delfina, Marcelo, Cecilia and Elizabeth. He got married at the age of 23 on October 13,1990 to Maria Guadalupe Perez Rosales. Had four children: Wendy Adileni, Elvia, Jesus and Sebastian. His grandchildren: Zarai & Santiago Perez, Thiago Mateo Nevárez and Alejandro Gonzalez. Refugio crossed so many people’s lives and made great memories with everyone. He was a giving man. His heart was so big. No matter how little he had he always gave to everyone. He was an incredible Grandfather, son, brother, uncle, God father, cousin, second cousin, friend, employee, father and most of all husband. Refugio was a hardworking man, but always preferred to live and travel than work extra hours and make more money. He would always say, “Money is not everything”. He traveled a lot and he bought everything and anything he pleased when he knew he could do it. He did so much in his 57 years of life. He would also always say, “So many people love me and everyone wants me to be ok”. He was a fighter and fought until the very end. His heart was the strongest organ in his body! Even though everything else was scarred like his lungs from when he acquired COVID back in Thanksgiving of 2021, he survived 89 days being hospitalized and came home to us on March 3,2022. Refugio was a miracle of God in having survived COVID, a stroke, and being severely septic during his time in the hospital. He fought and did everything to try and get better for 2 years 4 months and 8 days until he took his last breath April 12,2024 @ 6:05pm. Refugio was a warrior, but most of all a loving man and a man of faith. May he rest in peace and live on freely alongside our Lord Jesus Christ in heaven. He will forever LIVE in all of our hearts! Refugio Gonzalez Carbajal nació el 9 de marzo de 1967. Sus padres son Marcelo Gonzalez y Paula Carbajal. Refugio fue uno de trece hijos; fue el cuarto en nacer. Sus hermanos(as) son Maria, Martin, Guadalupe, Rebeca, Carmela, Guadalupe, Adela, Patricia, Delfina, Marcelo, Cecilia y Elizabeth. Refugio se casó a la edad de 23 años el 13 de octubre de 1990 con Maria Guadalupe Perez Rosales. Ambos tuvieron cuatro hijos, los cuales se llaman Wendy Adileni, Elvia, Jesus y Sebastian, al igual que cuatro nietos, Zarai, Santiago, Thiago Mateo y Alejandro. Refugio fue un gran abuelo, hijo, hermano, tío, padrino, primo, amigo, empleado, padre y, sobre todo, esposo. Refugio tuvo un gran impacto en las vidas de todas las personas que tuvieron la dicha de conocerle. Refugio era un hombre con grandes valores y un hombre de mucha fe. Algo que lo caracterizaba inmensamente era la cualidad de compartir con los demás sin importar lo poco o lo mucho que él tenía. De igual manera, Refugio fue un hombre muy trabajador y le encantaba disfrutar del fruto de su trabajo viajando. Refugio siempre decía que “el dinero va y viene” y con esa mentalidad disfrutaba de la vida dándose sus gustos y los gustos de su familia. Refugio fue un gran guerrero toda su vida, pero especialmente sus últimos dos años de vida mientras luchaba en contra de una enfermedad pulmonar a causa del COVID a fines del año 2021. Refugio sobrevivió después de estar hospitalizado durante 89 días. Logró regresar a casa del día 3 de marzo del 2022; verdaderamente fue un milagro de Dios al sobrevivir no solamente COVID pero también una embolia (stroke). Luchó e hizo todo lo posible por mejorar durante dos años, cuatro meses y ocho días, hasta que falleció el día 12 de abril del 2024 a las 6:05 p.m. Refugio fue un guerrero hasta su último día, pero sobre todo fue un hombre con gran corazón y un hombre de mucha fe. Refugio ahora está descansando en el paraíso al lado de Dios. Refugio siempre vivirá en el corazón y en la memoria de todos los que tuvieron la gran dicha de conocerle.
