Richard Orlando Brady II

A U.S. Army Veteran, RICHARD ORLANDO BRADY, II, 67, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020, in Lubbock, Texas. Services for Richard will be held at a later date. SERVICES: There will be a Rosary for Richard at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at 9:30 AM, followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at General Douglas L. McBride Veterans Cemetery Columbarium that is located at South Park Cemetery. On April 27, 1953, Richard was born to Richard Orlando Brady, Sr. and Beatrice Orona in Roswell, New Mexico. He attended Roswell schools and later enlisted in the United States Army, from 16 Nov 1971 to 17 Aug 1973, as a Lt. Truck Driver. During Richard’s military service, he was awarded a National Defense Service Medal and Sharpshooter (M-16 Rifle). He was a proud Veteran whose heart was to serve his country. Richard worked as a truck driver for many years. He was of the Catholic faith and loved spending time with his family. Richard was a die-hard Las Vegas Raiders NFL fan. His favorite thing to watch wrestling and football, especially if his #1 football team was playing. Although Richard is no longer with us, the memory of him will live on in his family and all the friends he has left behind. SURVIVORS: Those left to cherish memories of Richard’s are his daughter, Emily Brady; mother of his children, Liz Brady; grandchildren: Richard O. Brady IV, Santiago Brady Olivas, Allisa Brady, Santianna M. Analla, Karrisa Brady, Daniele Montoya, Issac Brady, and Michelle E. Garcia; brothers: Dixie Brady and Moises Brady; sisters: Mary Jane Orona and Cynthia; as well as his nieces and nephews: Adriana Orona, Moises Orona, Lorenzo Cobos, Raul Orona, Melanie Samario, Michael Samario, Gabriel Samario, Anthony Miranda, and Donna Tavarez. PRECEDED: Preceding Richard in death: his son, Richard O. Brady III; parents, Richard Orlando Brady, Sr., and Beatrice Orona; grandparents: Orlando Brady and Lorenza Mireles; and siblings: Moises Orona, Rita Miranda, Frank Samario II, and Andy Samario.
