Robert Wayne Mitchell, 63, went home to be with the Lord on June, 22, 2026. A celebration of Life for Robert will be July 10, 2026, at 2pm, at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory. He was the oldest of six siblings. Robert met the love of his life, Cyndi, in April of 1985 and they became inseparable after that first date. They married July 5, 1985. They shared a remarkable love story. Together they built a life of love, laughter and unwavering devotion. Through every joy and every challenge they stood side by side sharing a love that only grew stronger with time. Robert was a proud father to his son Christopher and daughter Laine. His family was Robert’s greatest pride and purpose. He loved them more than words can express. He was fiercely protective, endlessly loving and always there when he was needed. His children and his grandchildren were the light of his life. Robert was a well known bartender at Buds, where his sense of humor and genuine personality made him a friend to many. If you knew Robert you knew his sense of humor. The man could make anyone laugh, whether it was a perfectly timed one-liner or a witty observation that caught you completely off guard. He had a way of lighting up any room he walked into and that gift stayed with him throughout his life. Robert had a passion for music and an incredible ear for a great song, and loved playing guitar with his buddies. Robert is survived by his wife Cyndi Mitchell, his son Christopher Mitchell and wife Cathy and their children Malachi, Delilah, Rorik, Liam and Fiona, his daughter Laine Martin and husband Lance and their son Jax, siblings Pat Mitchell and family, Richie Mitchell and family, Michelle Mathews and family, and Erin Mitchell and family, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert is preceded in death by his mother Margaret Mitchell, father Rick Michell and sister Stephanie Lopez. Although his absence leaves an immeasurable hole in the hearts of those who love him, his legacy lives on through his love, the laughter he shared so freely and through the family he adored.
