Rodrick “Billy” Torres went to be with the Lord on August 5, 2021 in Roswell, N.M. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Billy’s family at www.andersonbethany.com. A Memorial Service for Billy will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 7:00 PM at Apostolic Bible Church by Pastor Foster. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at 7:00 PM at Church On The Move 180 building. Pastor Sergio Tirado will conduct the funeral service. Burial will be held at South Park Cemetery on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 2:00 PM conducted by Pastor Sergio Tirado from Church on the Move. Rodrick “Billy” Torres was born in Glenco N.M. to Louis and Amanda Torres on March 13, 1938. He grew up in the Hondo Valley. He married Martha Moyers on August 20, 1960 in Roswell; they were married for 50 years. He worked in the missile silos while serving in the Army National Guard after becoming self-employed in construction for 50 years. He was a member of the National Guard for a number of years. Billy had been involved in The Church of God and Assemblies of God ministries where he brought many people to know Jesus Christ. Billy is preceded in death by his parents Amanda and Louis Torres, wife Martha Torres, numerous sisters Theresa Matta, Fannie Atkinson, Frances Baker, Stella Gibson, brothers Joe Torres, Prese Torres, Max Torres. Billy is survived by his brother Anthony Torres of Long Beach California, Tommy and Carmen Atkinson of Houston Texas, 6 children Billy Jr. Torres, Sammy Torres, Louie Torres and wife Monica, Joel Torres and wife Priscilla, Sandra Brewer and husband Bill, Lilly Sills all of Roswell 12 grandchildren Timothy Torres and wife Anna, James and Patrick Brewer, Brianna Torres Esperanza Torres, Katalena Torres, Justin Torres, Michael and Michelle Sills, Deanelia Gladyzs, Louie and Jordan Torres and 2 great-grandchildren Ysabella and Mireya Torres and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Louie and Joel Torres, James and Patrick Brewer, Brianna Torres, and Michael Sills. Honorary Pallbearers are Sammy Torres and Timothy Torres. The family of Rodrick Billy Torres would like to thank those who have provided meals, prayers and support during this difficult time.
