Maria Rosario Villa, 79, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in Roswell, NM. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Rosario’s family at www.andersonbethany.com. There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a Celebration of Life that will take place at 1 p.m., with a Rosary to follow at 1:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. On August 27, 1944, Rosario was born to Domingo Villa and Martina Chaparro in Chihuahua, Mexico. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. Rosario’s favorite pastimes were, watching telenovelas, spending time with her family, talking with her nieces, nephews and grandkids. She took pride and joy in keeping a clean home. She enjoyed sitting outside enjoying the cool mornings/evenings, and those who knew her knew she enjoyed chatting and having a smoke. She would always say “Si no nos vemos nos escribimos”. Rosario will be missed by her family and friends. Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Rosario are her children: Luz Maria Ruiz, Josefina Hernandez, and Veronica Villa; grandchildren: Julyana Gauna, Luis Gauna, Jose Roberto Hernandez; Enrique Morales, Alejandro Morales, Ramon Hernandez Jr., Javier Hernandez, Vianney Hernandez; and sister, Isabel Villa. Rosario is preceded in death by her grandchild, Estevan Gauna; parents: Domingo Villa and Martina Chaparro; siblings: Pedro, Felipe, Nacho, Remedios, Goya, Luisa, and Romona Villa. Honored to serve as Pallbearers are J. Rudy Morales, Enrique Morales, Ramon Hernandez Jr., Javier Hernandez, Sammy Martinez, Gustavo Cano, and Rodolfo Morales. Rosario’s tribute was lovingly written by her family. El Señor está cerca de los que tienen quebrantado el corazón; él rescata a los de espíritu destrozado. Aunque mi corazón y mi cuerpo desfallezcan, mi refugio y mi heredad por siempre es Dios. Tus promesas me dan esperanza; ¡no te olvides de ellas! Tus promesas me dan vida; me consuelan en mi dolor.
