Rose Zepeda

Wife, mother and grandmother Rosemary Martinez Zepeda passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. On February 4, 1973, Rose was born to Manuel Martinez and Mary Otero in Roswell, NM. She married Matilde Zepeda ‘Paco’ on June 9, 1989, in Roswell, NM. Rose had the most loving and caring heart; and she touched many lives with her presence. Helping around the house was something she really looked forward to doing, she would even clean house for her family. Rose loved to sing, dance and make everyone laugh; she had a wonderful sense of humor. Some of her favorite hobbies were collecting rocks, drawing, coloring and taking long walks. Rose especially enjoyed spending time with her husband and children. Being with her grandchildren was her pride and passion. Rose will always be remembered and deeply missed by family and friends. Those left to cherish Rose’s memory are her husband, Matilde Zepeda “Paco”; children: Mario M. Zepeda, Marissa M. Zepeda and husband, Sergio Robles of Fort Summer, NM, Rose F. Zepeda and spouse, Jose Vasquez of Roswell, NM, David M. Zepeda and spouse, Catalina Laughing of Roswell, NM, Ana M. Zepeda of Roswell, NM; grandmother, Rose Weimer; grandchildren: Angel A. Robles, Isaiah J. Vasquez, Estrella, Catalina L. Zepeda; siblings: Victor Martinez of Colorado, Vincent Martinez of Colorado, Virginia Martinez of Colorado, Ruth Martinez of Colorado, Joe Anthony Martinez of Colorado, Jesse Martinez of Colorado, Marisol Medina of Roswell; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; friends: Lenny Soto and Mayra Soto. Preceded Rose in death are her son, Johnny M. Martinez; parents: Mary Otero and Manuel Martinez; grandfather, Victor Weimer; and aunt, Juanita Luevano, Pallbearers are: Matilda Zepeda, Sergio Robles, Mario Zepeda, Daniel Zepeda, Lenny Soto and Jose Vasquez. The family would like to thank all the staff at Hospice for all their excellent care and compassionate service. A Special Thank You to family, friends and all the people that helped raise money or gave donations.
