There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a Funeral Service to begin at 6 p.m. Rumaldo Sigala was born on December 14, 1951, to Rumaldo Sr. and Tillie Sigala in Roswell, NM. He was raised in Midway with 15 brothers and sisters. He loved them all very much. At the age of 19 he met the love of his life Sue Ann Torrez, and they were married on September 5, 1970, and began their life journey together in Roswell at the “Big Apple” where they raised their two sons Rumaldo “Caps” Sigala and Sam Sigala. In 1996 he was blessed with his first granddaughter Breanna “Little Breeze”. He was so excited to be a grandpa “Pampo Maldo”. A few years later he was blessed with his first grandson Sam “Boo Boo”. Another grandson Manuel and then another granddaughter Alyssa “the baby girl of the family”. He loved his kids, grandkids and daughters-in-law with all his heart. He always had their back no matter what. Rumaldo worked at Glovers for 11 years, Nova Bus for 11½ years and for the City of Roswell for 12 years. He was a hard-working man and always provided for his family. He enjoyed working on cars, remodeling his house, listening to oldies and playing pranks on people. Rumaldo is survived by his wife, Sue Ann; son, Rumaldo “Caps” and his wife Louise; daughter-in-law, Martha Sigala; grandchildren: Breanna, Sam, Manuel and Alyssa; brothers: Albert Sigala and wife, Liz, Alex Sigala and wife, Debbie, Shepie Sigala, Gilbert Sigala, Daniel Sigala, Fermin Sigala; sisters: Josie and (Greg) Cortez, Emily and (Doug) Mays, Bernice and (Albert) Valenzuela, Tina and (David) Garcia, Andrea and (Tony) Conti, and Rosella and (Chris) McAlpine; sister-in-law, Johnnie Torrez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rumaldo was preceded in death by his parents: Rumaldo Sr. and Tillie Sigala; son, Sam Sigala; sister, Mary Sigala; brother, Robert Sigala; mother-in-law, Bennie Torrez; father-in-law, Nick Torrez; brothers-in-law: Raymond Torrez, Junior Torrez, Nick “Kix” Torrez; sisters-in-law: Telles Lara and Helen Torrez; brother-in-law, Eugene “Guero” Garcia; and nephew, Joshua Sigala. We had a lot of good times, many memories throughout the years. Thank you for all you did for all of us and for loving us. Your work here is done – dance with the angels Maldo. Until we meet again in Heaven. We love you and we will miss you. We would like to thank all the family that helped during his illness. Also thank you to the Hospice nurses and CNA Rosalia. A very special thank you to Gilbert (his brother) for always being here and helping with all we needed.
