Santiago James Molinar III (Jim) 63, passed away on Thursday, October 16th, 2025, in Roswell, NM surrounded by his family and children. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025, at 10am at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. On January 24, 1962, Santiago James Molinar III (Jim) was born to Santiago James Molinar II & Susana Flores Molinar in Carlsbad, NM. Jim attended Roswell High School where he graduated. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. He married Emily (Vega) Molinar in 1987 and was divorced. He then married Angela Gutierrez and was divorced. Growing up he played little league baseball for Lions Hondo. He was a proud Lowrider enthusiast and was especially proud of his 1979 Camero which he earned numerous trophies and awards for. Santiago (Jim) was an avid hunter and fisher, some of his best life was spent hunting and fishing with his son and grandsons along with his brothers and nephews! Jim was also a jack of all trades. He was in the Carpenter’s Local Union #1245 for many years. Some of the most recognizable construction companies he was employed by are Diversified Interiors Amarillo (D.I.A) as well as Jayne Corporation. Notably he worked on numerous projects and buildings throughout his hometown to include the college, courthouse, hospitals and Chaves County Administration building, and retirement homes as well as numerous others to add to that list. Santiago (Jim) was an incredibly hard worker dedicated to his work and most importantly his family, he would never turn down a side job no matter how big or small. Jim always enjoyed being surrounded by his family. Thanksgiving and Christmas were his favorite holidays as well as the Epiphany, where is you know that is the only time he would open any gifts given to him. His grandchildren will especially miss receiving their annual Christmas Cereal and treats! Jim especially loved to be with his brothers enjoying a nice cold beer and a good laugh! Those left to eternally cherish & treasure the memories of Jim are his children: Santiago (Spike) James Molinar IV (Kala), Megan Molinar, Bianca Jaramillo (Matt), Audrianna Vega & Christopher Lobato(Samantha); grandchildren: Bryanna Molinar, Santiago James Molinar V (Cinco)(Kalli) Vernon, Aricea Molinar, Anthony Otero, Isaiah Jaramillo, Zane Jaramillo, his AzaDaza Azariah Jaramillo and Ciel Lobato. Jim is also survived by his brother Mark (Karla)Molinar, Alicia (Dominic), Markie (Elisa), and Lysette. Brother, Vernon Molinar(Lupe). As well as his siblings surviving children: Melissa Wilson (Brian), Jovanna Lara (Benny), Gemellia Carbajal, Daniel Sosa, Manuel, Tina, Kristy(David) Cunningham, Lynette, LeAnna, Jorge (Vato), Isaac, April, Stephanie, Jessica & Susie Molinar. Jim is preceded in death by his parents: Santiago & Susana Molinar; sister, Gemma Sue; brothers: Manuel Molinar, George (Irma) Molinar, Steve Molinar. The Molinar family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice and their amazing staff for all their compassion and help during our father’s final journey.
