Scott Sabo

Scott “passed” his final inspection at his home on December 3, 2023. He was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to William and Sheila Sabo. He loved his Savior Jesus Christ, his Family and the Corps. He is survived by his wife/eternal companion Salina and their children Evan, Jarod, Catherine, Joey, and Sophie. He taught his kids how to work hard and be their own person. He was a kid at heart with a deep voice that brought jokes and laughter to so many. He was a teddy bear, albeit a grizzly teddy bear, but underneath all that gruff exterior was a caring, funny, loving man. We love & miss you! As a child he was your typical ham of a kid who loved being in the spotlight. After high school he joined the Marine Corps and became a “Marine” OOH RAH! After the Corps he moved back to PA and became a “Tin Knocker” for Local #12 for over 10 years. He then decided to move to New Mexico. He built speck homes for a few years and then decided to start his own business and become a plumbing contractor. Many knew him from his work van. If you didn’t know where he stood on politics, then all you had to do was read the plethora of stickers on his van. He was not afraid to voice his opinion on any subject because he loved to debate. He was a walking billboard and all you had to do was read his shirt for the day to know his opinion. Scott loved finding a good deal and so over the span of the 23+ years they were married, he bought/sold/gave away over 76+ vehicles, which meant at any given time if you came by the house, you were never sure if someone was home or not because there was usually an average of 5 cars in the driveway (all running with brand new tires). He will be greatly missed! (especially by Ebay, Craigslist, and any number of tire companies. Hahaha) He loved animals, over the years all the dogs he adopted had come from the local Humane Society. He had a larger-than-life personality, and we miss him dearly. Till we meet again. He loved making people laugh, his favorite thing to say was, “Whether you’re laughing with me, or laughing at me, as long as you’re laughing.” A come and go luncheon Saturday December 16th, between 11-1:00 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1091 Mechem Dr, Ruidoso, NM. Flowers may be sent to Anderson Bethany Funeral home, or a donation made to St Jude’s Childrens Hospital or your local Humane Society.
