Severiano Munoz

Severiano Munoz, 71, passed away on October 9, 2015. He was born on November 8, 1943, to Geronimo Munoz and Elisa Arras, in Banderas, Chihuahua, Mexico. Married for 45 years, he was preceded in death by his wife, Olivia Larez. Severiano was a true family man, who cherished spending quality time with his loved ones. A farmer with Bogle Farms, Severiano retired after 60 years. As the owner of “El Ranchito”, in Hagerman, he gardened and raised animals. Severiano was an avid prayer warrior. Watching the Pittsburg Pirates baseball games was his favorite pastime. Preceding Severiano in death were his wife, Olivia Munoz; father, Geronimo Munoz; sister, Guadalupe Granados; brothers: Emigidio Munoz and Valente Munoz. Those left to carry on his legacy are his mother, Elisa Munoz, of Carlsbad, NM; brothers: Demetrio Munoz and Felix Munoz and wife Adela, all of Carlsbad, NM; sisters: Eva Dominquez, Gloria M. Pina and husband Manuel, all of Carlsbad, NM; Jovita Carlsen and husband Jim, of Austin, TX; step-sons: Gilbert Tavarez and wife Jackie, of Lamirada, CA, Albert Tavarez and wife Trudy, of Albuquerque, NM, Landro Tavarez and wife Debbie, of Roswell, NM; step-daughters: Gloria Tavarez, of Albuquerque, NM; Betty Rios and husband Julio, of Las Cruces, NM; Vicky Martinez, of Las Cruces, NM; Esther Glasson and husband David, of Albuquerque, NM; Loisa Prudencio, of Roswell, NM. Severiano is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, 6:00 PM, at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. Burial will be Thursday, October 15, 2015, 12:00 PM, at the Hagerman Cemetery. Pastor Joel Martinez will officiate from Apostolic Family Worship Center. Honorary pallbearers will be Demetrio Munoz, Felix Munoz and Debbie Tavarez. Pallbearers will be Fernando Munoz, Vicente Munoz, Eric Trevino, Chase Odom and Mario Vale and Ramon Tavarez. A special thank you to the staff of ENMMC and the intensive care unit.
