Obituary for Steve J. Vigil Jr. A rosary will be recited for Steve J. Vigil Jr., 38, of Roswell at 7 pm Monday, August 3, 2009 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass will be celebrated for Steve at 11 am, Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Juan Montoya O.F.M. officiating. Steve passed away Thursday, July 30, 2009. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Steve was born December 20, 1970 to Steve Vigil Sr. and Kathy Quintero Vigil, in Roswell. He enjoyed the outdoors, going hunting and hanging out with his friends and having family outings. Steve liked listening to music and to be out with his metal detector, but what he loved most of all was to spend time with his family especially his children, nieces and nephews. Steve was a number one Steeler fan.He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Maria of the family home, four daughters; Jennifer, “J.J.” Juliana, “Julie Julie, Jaquelyn, “Jacqui Boo” Vigil and Faith Garcia, one baby boy; to be born in September, his parents; Steve Sr. and Kathy Vigil of Roswell, one sister; Sarah Sanchez and her husband Adrian of Roswell, two brothers; Marty Vigil and his wife Lorena, Eugene Vigil all of Roswell, his very special nieces and nephews; Regina Vigil, Daniel Vigil, Adriana Sanchez, Santana Vigil, Marty Jr. “Son Son” Vigil, Jonathan Vigil and Bianca Elizalde, one great niece; Amaryah Vigil, one great nephew; Aiden “Gino” Vigil. Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents; Josie and Manuel Vigil, Josie and Bonifacio Dominguez. Pallbearers will be Marty Vigil, Eugene Vigil, A.J. Dominguez, Juan De La Cerda, Israel Lopez and John Dominguez. Honorary pallbearers will be, Adrian Sanchez, Federico Renteria, Ramon Mendoza, Jacinto Mendoza and Joe Urban, all his coworkers from the State Highway Dept., Special Crew; Heavy Maintenance #4283.
