Susana Flores Molinar

Beloved mother and grandmother, Susana Flores Molinar, 82, of Roswell, New Mexico, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016. She was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico, on May 24, 1934, to Juan and Florintina Flores. Susana retired from Levi Strauss company, after 30 years of loyal and dedicated work, as a seamstress. She was a devout Catholic who joined St. Peter’s church in 1969. Bringing her faith to the church with her heart and voice, Susana sang in the church choir for many years. She was very involved with her family, always baking and sewing for them. Susana enjoyed dancing and playing with her grandkids who she worshipped, second to our Lord. She loved her family with all her heart, they were her focus in life. If any of her family members needed her, she was there for them. She impacted each person she came in contact with daily, with her love, strength, support and sharing. In her family’s eyes, she was larger than life, softer in spirit and generous with her love, always. Preceding Susana in death were her husband, Santiago Molinar; parents: Juan and Florintina Florez; children: Manuel Molinar, Jorge and Irma Molinar, Steve Molinar, and Gemma Molinar; brothers: Juan, Joe, Augustine and Gilbert Florez; sisters: Lupe Martinez, and Angelita Whiting. Surviving Susana are her children: Vernon Molinar and Lupe, Mark and Karla Molinar, Santiago and Angela Molinar; grandchildren: Manuel, Tina, and Gina Molinar, Daniel Sosa, Brian and Melisa Wilson, Benny and Jovana Lara, Gemellia Carabajal, Issac, Lynette, Kristy, Leanna, Jorge Molina III, April, Stephanie Jessica, Susie, Martha, Joseph Molinar, Santiago Molinar IV, Megan Molinar, Bianca Jaramillo, Maria Garcia, Matt Garcia, Gina Gutierrez, Alicia Molinar, Mark Molinar II, and Lysette Molinar; great-grandchildren: Maria Merraya, Manuel Molinar III, Martha, Gemma Ramirez, Nathaniel Ramirez, Santino Carrillo, Julian Carrillo, Adrian Carrillo, Xavior Sisneros, Jasmone Sisneros, Angelica Taylor, Angelo Taylor, Ethan Jimenez, Lily Carabajal, Irma Ruiz, Samantha Ruiz, Anthony Ruiz, Levena Ochoa, Luis Ochoa, Maximino Franco, Hazel Hailey, Jorge Molinar III, Abigail, Issac Molinar, Jesse Molinar, Adrian Baca, Santigo Molinar V, Bryanna, Vernon, Tricia Molinar, Anthony Otero, Izaiah Jaramillo, Nayeli Garcia, Natalie Garcia, Mia Garcia, and Ryan Myers. Viewing will be Wednesday, August 10, 2016, 12:00 – 6:00 PM, followed by a Rosary which will be Recited at 6:00 PM at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass Celebration of Susana’s life will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church, Thursday, August 11, 2016, 10:00 AM with Burial to follow at South Park Cemetery. Father Charlie Martinez will be officiating services. Pallbearers will be Mark Molinar JR, Jorge Molinar JR, Santiago Molinar IV, Manuel Molinar JR, Daniel Sosa, Isacc Molinar, Joseph Molinar, and Nathaniel Ramirez.
