Travis Ray Fulkerson Travis Ray Fulkerson, 43, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, in Roswell, New Mexico. There will be a Funeral Service for Travis Fulkerson on February 8, 2025, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2801 W. 4th Roswell, NM 88201 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. Reception will follow at Westminster Presbyterian Church. On February 13, 1981, Travis Ray was born to Lindell and Angie Fulkerson in Fort Collins, Colorado. Travis graduated from Goddard High School, Roswell, NM in 1999 and was employed by the Midwest Ag Group in Iowa. Travis was a diehard Raiders fan and loved watching football. He was always on the go, ready to lend a helping hand to anybody in need and had a big heart. Any chance he got, Travis would enjoy hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and friends. These were some of his most favorite memories. He was the life of the party and never met a stranger. Travis was always having fun and smiling. He was a friend to all and being a prankster - loved to make people laugh. Travis never failed to light up a room with his great personality. He loved to eat especially his parents’ and his Momo’s cooking. He really enjoyed working outdoors in the farming and agricultural industry where he met numerous contacts and friends. He was a friendly and outgoing person who just wanted to hang out with those he loved. Travis was especially close to his cousins James Archuleta and Melissa Anderson along with his other extended family members. Travis lived large, loved life and remained true to himself. We will never forget him and will always remember to “Git –R- Done”. Those left to cherish memories of Travis are his parents Lindell and Angie Fulkerson of Roswell, NM; grandparents John and Christine Archuleta of Roswell, NM; and sister Stephanie Valencia of Roswell, NM. He leaves behind his son Travis, Jr. and his wife Taya and grandson Ryder of Roswell, NM, along with his daughter Taylor of Carlsbad, NM. His aunts Donna Todd and husband Terry of Artesia, NM; Andrea Williams and husband Edward of Las Cruces, NM; and Laurie Dudek and husband Kameron of Roswell, NM. He also leaves behind nephews Santiago and Roman Valencia and niece Alyssa Valencia as well as numerous beloved cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jimmie Fulkerson, grandmother Jaquitta “Jo” Fulkerson Sons, and grandfather Dean Sons. Uncles Jimmie Duane Fulkerson and John “Archie” Archuleta, and aunts Shonna Fulkerson and Sandy Fulkerson Bell. Pall bearers are James Archuleta, Martin Brackeen, Jr. Santiago Valencia, Jr., Roman Valencia, Braxton Fulkerson, Chris Hutchins, Justin Hellums, and John Parks. The family of Travis Fulkerson wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate care givers with Gentiva Hospice, Eastern New Mexico Medical Center, and the Mission Arch Nursing Center staff along with Autumn of Barringer’s Blossom Shop, and Martin’s Capitol Café. We would also like to thank Anderson Bethany Funeral home for their guidance and support. Gone Fishing….. If someone should ask for me Tell ‘em heaven is where I’ll be. I’ve finished all of my life’s chores, And now I fish on heaven’s shores. The view is grand and the fishing’s great, But I yearn for you as I wait. I’ll save a spot on the river’s bend For all those I call family and friend. But for now, sail out to sea And make a cast in memory To all the good times we had With me your son, nephew, and friend. And if the fish no longer bite Or seem no longer worth the fight Because it’s me that you are missing Don’t worry, be glad, I’ve only gone fishing.
