Valorie Palmer

Memorial services will be held for Valorie Glynnelle Palmer, 57, of Roswell at 11 am Friday, January 18, 2013 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Shelton officiating. She passed away on January 6, 2013. Visitation will be Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 10 am – 8 pm at the funeral home. Valorie Glynnelle Palmer Daughter of Nathaniel and Juanita Palmer was born April 20, 1955 in Roswell, New Mexico. In addition to her father, Nathaniel, she was preceded in death by her sister, Demetrice Lynelle Doss, and grandparents, Loney and Sarah Wagoner. She received her formal education in the schools of Roswell, New Mexico and Athens Greece. In 1973, Valorie moved to Athens Greece with her parents, Anderson and Juanita Green, where she traveled around the world and furthered her education. After returning to the United States she moved to San Bernardino where she worked for 13 years as a booking officer for San Bernardino County Sheriff Department before returning to Roswell, New Mexico. Valorie was known to her family and friends as “Val”. Val was very outgoing and loved to sing. She loved her church, Washington Chapel AME now Washington Chapel Christian center, St. Paul AME, San Bernardino, her church she affiliated with Friendship MBC. She was a very generous and kind hearted person always putting others before herself. Valorie leaves to cherish her memories, Anderson J. and Juanita Green, parents Highland, CA, Charles (Jessica) Doss, Pomona, CA three sisters Katherine Doss of San Bernardino,CA Althea Palmer-Garth, Louisville, KY, Wanetta Harrington, Moreno Valley, CA,aunts; neice; Toshamekia (Aaron) Doss-Howard; grand-niece Aja Cenae Doss-Armstead aunts; Christine (Justus) Bowe, Roswell New, Mexico;Larone Graham, Jacksoville, FL.; Leona P. Washington, Wallingford, Conn.; Cynthia Palmer-Mason, Bolling Green KY., Ann Palmer-Jenkins, Denver, CO.; Winola Palmer-Harrell, St. Paul, Minn.;Barbara (Rev. Willie) Parks, Rofton, KY; uncles, Alvo Wagoner, Teachapi, CA; Earl (Regina) Wagoner, San Bernardino, CA; Ray Neal Palmer, Crofton, KY; and her companion of 20 years Rev. Mark Baker and multitude of family and friends. Services are under the direction of Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory.
