Services: There will be a Visitation at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. A Memorial Service will be at 6 p.m. at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home following the visitation. Pastor Troy and Pastor Sergio will be officiating. On April 24, 1939, Vicente Garza De La O was born to Eduvijes and Victoria De La O, in Artesia, New Mexico. Prior to retirement, Vicente worked as a farmer at Oasis Dairy for 27 years. Vicente was a loving and caring dad, grandpa and father-in-law, he loved his family very much, he like to tell jokes and have everyone laughing all the time. He was a great person to everyone he met and knew. He loved horses, cowboy hats and all animals. He loved his little shiatzu/yorkie Estrella very much. He loved to go for walks, hunt and be with his family. He loved playing cards (solitaire), he played every day sitting on his recliner in his room with a folding table in front of him and his TV on. Vicente is survived by his children: Francisco De La O Sr. and wife Rita, Jesus De La O, Vicente De La O Jr. & fiancée Stephanie; grandchildren: Francisco Mateo De La O Jr, Breana Bianca De La O, Valeria Maria De La O, Cristian Marcos De La O, Manuel Jesus De La O, Jayden Cruz De La O, Adriana Mia Maturino, Thalia Hope De La O, Santiago Ray Valencia, Román Anthony Valencia, Alyssa Marie Valencia, Maria Evangelina De La O Gonzales and husband Gustavo, Jerónimo Amador and fiancee, Jacie Chesnie, Javier Amador, Ana Amador, Asher Amador, Juan Andrés De La O, Jose Alfredo Villa, and Isamara del Carmen González; siblings: Pancho Garza; numerous nieces and nephews; pets: his dog Estrella, whom he dearly loved. Vicente was preceded in death by his parents: Eduvijes De La O & Victoria De La O; siblings: many brothers and sisters, Cruz De La O, Libardo De La O, Victoria De La O, Cosme Garza, Manuel Garza, Casimira De La O, Monica De La O, and many more.
