Virginia Flores

Virginia Flores, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 9 am to 6 pm, and a Prayer Service to follow from 6 pm to 7 pm. There will be a Funeral Service at Spanish Calvary Baptist Church “El Calvario” on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 11 am. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. Virginia (Gonzales) Flores was born on August 15, 1932, in Hagerman, New Mexico, to Jacinto and Maria Gonzales. She was raised in Hagerman until the age of 16, then her family moved to Portales, New Mexico where she helped work on the farm. In 1965 she met the love of her life, Luis. They were married on August 13, 1965, and made their life together in Roswell, New Mexico. Virginia was a Christian woman who served the Lord all her life. She was a member of Spanish Calvary Baptist Church “El Calvario”. She was a prayer warrior; her prayers were always answered. She prayed for all her family, friends, and neighbors each night by their names. She loved her family unconditionally. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Louise Flores Sigala; son-in-law, Rumaldo (Caps) Sigala; granddaughter, Breanna Nicole Sigala “her heart and soul”, who went over and above for her, numerous other granddaughters and grandsons; brother, Daniel Gozales; stepdaughters: Julie Loftis and Kyna Brandt; nieces: Rosella Gonzales and Amanda Gonzales; nephew; Melcor Gonzales; numerous other nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law: Hope (Chaya) Sombke, Mary Alvarado, and Priscilla Rimer; brother-in-law, Pedro Franco and wife Marcy. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Luis; her parents: Jacinto and Maria Gonzales; baby brother, Melcor; stepdaughters: MaryJane and Cathy; sisters-in-law: Helen (Nena) Mendiola and Carlotta Flores; brothers-in-law: Tony Flores, Richard Franco, Joe Mendiola and Tony Alvarado; mother-in-law, Eva Herrera; and father-in-law, Robert Herrera. We would like to thank the hospice nurses: Debbie, Silvia and Takysha. We would like to give a special thank you to CNA, Rosalia, she was the best to Virginia and went above and beyond for her. Also, a special thank you to Aunt Priscilla who came from Colorado to help take care of my mom and cousin Roberta who has helped us with everything we needed. We will miss you Momma, but we know that you are no longer in pain, and you are rejoicing in heaven with Jesus and all the family that went before you. One day we will be together again.
