Virginia "Virgie" Sanchez Molina

A loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, VIRGINIA “VIRGIE” SANCHEZ MOLINA, 74, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021, peacefully surrounded by her loving family. SERVICES: There will be a Viewing for Virgie at Waymaker Church on Friday, June 11, 2021, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a Service at 3:00 PM. On February 12, 1947, Virgie was born to Joe and Maria Sanchez at St. Mary’s Hospital in Roswell. New Mexico, New Mexico. She attended Picacho, Tinnie and Hondo schools throughout her childhood. Virgie played volleyball and basketball when she was going to Hondo High School, where she graduated. Virgie later left Picacho and moved to Roswell and made her home there. Virgie was a homemaker that loved having family gatherings and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and all her loved ones; they were her life’s greatest treasure. Virgie loved to walk with her friend, Gloria, and visit with her “Prima” Viola and friend Janie. Her most memorable moments were the times she spent with her best friends, who preceded her in death, her compadres: Terri and Moises Coronado. A truly genuine person, Virgie loved people of all walks of life and they loved her in return. Thanks to everyone for loving our mother like their own. Her spirit, smile, and presence will be missed by her loved ones. SURVIVORS: Those left to eternally cherish and treasure Virgie’s loving memory are her significant other, Filimon Baca Sr; children: Veronica Robles and husband Martin of Pheonix AZ, Ramona Barron and husband Sylvestre of Roswell NM, Robert Sanchez of Roswell NM, and Mabel Baca of Roswell NM; Vincent Baca, Cindy Baca, Bernie Baca, Anthony Baca and wife Maria, Lorraine Baca, and Filimon Baca Jr. and wife Irene; grandchildren: Anna and husband Lorenzo Martinez, Dezaray Samario and partner Lupita, Raymond Jr. and wife Gloria Molina, Cassandra Najar, Emilia Granado, Shantelle Sanchez, Jovana Velasquez, Jasmine Barron, Israel, Santana, Angel Fresquez, Reyna Ceballos, Adriana Sanchez, Jennifer and Klarissa Robles, and Serenity Ruiz; great-grandchildren: Xavier, Jesus, Emmett, Amrielle, Jayce, Jayden, Eliana, Eli and Julia; sisters: Viola Aguirre and Gloria and husband Charles; brother, Joe Jr. Sanchez; sister-in-law, Rosa Sanchez; as well as her close friends: Gloria Bartlett her prima, Viola Vigil and Janie Williams. PRECEDED: Preceding Virgie in death are her son, Raymond Molina; parents: Joe and Maria Sanchez; maternal grandparents: Rumaldo and Victoria Tapia; paternal grandparents: Torivio and Aurelia Martinez Sanchez; brothers: Toby Sr, Jerry and Richard Sanchez; sister, Johnnie Romero; sister-in-law, Dolores; brother-in-law, Rudy Romero; and her close friends: Terri Coronado and Moises Coronado. HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Those blessed to serve as Honorary Pallbearers are Filimon Baca Sr, Emmett Martinez, Eli Martinez, Jayce Granado, Xavier Samario, Jesus Samario, Jayden Balderas, Joe Sanchez Jr, and Eric Romero.
