Yvonne Romero

Michelle Y Stillman-Romero gained her wings on January 26th 2024. Surrounded by her family and friends in her home. Born July 16, 1967, a life long resident of Roswell New Mexico. Michelle had an accomplished career working at NMDOT for many years before retiring to be a stay at home Gammie. She was an amazing daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, mother in law and friend. She had the kindest soul and was everyone’s rock. Always willing to lend a helping hand even when she was going through her toughest times. She was loved by all, and will be tremendously missed. She’s preceded in death by her Grandfather Otis Dillard, her Grandmother Ruby Jo Dillard, her Nephew Levi Dillard, and her Nephew Lawrence Dillard. Luke 13:34, "How many times I wanted to put my arms around all your people just as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings...” She is survived by her mother Shirley Dillard, her father Kenneth Stillman his wife Norma Stillman. Her brothers Donnie Whitlow and his wife Mary Whitlow, Quinn Dillard, Larry Stillman, and Justin Stillman. Her children Benjie Romero his wife Sonja Romero, Jeremy Romero and his wife Mercedes Romero, Mikayla Stevens and her husband Wyatt Stevens, Jessica Williams and her husband Marcus Williams. Her grandchildren Alicia Romero, Shaniya Romero, Daniel Romero, Victoria Romero, Leilani De Los Santos, Genesis Romero, and Rylee Stevens (Little Red). Her nieces and nephews Dylan Dillard, Julia Dillard, Lauren Dillard, Daijah Dillard, Robert Dillard, Joshua Whitlow and Justin Whitlow. Her life long best friends Katrina Arsenault, and Cynthia Martinez. And many many more. Cancer may have won the body, but God won the soul. Special thank you to Sonja Romero for helping our mama with everything until the very end. She was so very thankful for you and everything you had done for her. We appreciate you more than words could describe. We love you. She will be having a celebration of life with her close friends and family. We will inform those when the time comes. John 16:22: “So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.”
