Daniel Munoz Sr.

DANIEL MUÑOZ SR, 69, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021, in Roswell, New Mexico. SERVICES: There will be a Viewing for Daniel at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Thursday, March 4, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 PM. A Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Friday, March 5, 2021, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. On June 10, 1951, Daniel was born to Arnulfo and Leonarda Muñoz, in El Campo, Texas. He graduated with the class of 1969 from Goddard High School. Daniel enlisted in the United States Marines Corps in 1973 and was honorable discharged in 1979. He worked at TMC/Nova Bus for twenty-seven years. Daniel later started and enjoyed his career as the community’s lawn and handyman. He was a member and usher of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, he loved attending church. Daniel enjoyed fishing, hunting, Garage Sales, and Tinkering. He loved spending time with his family and trying to make his first million at the Flea Market. Daniel’s favorite sports teams were whichever his grandchildren were playing on. He will be missed by his family and friends. SURVIVING: Left to cherish the memory of Daniel are his children: Daniel Muñoz Jr. and fiancé April Lanning; Doug Muñoz and wife Jesse, Donovan Muñoz and wife BJ, Domingo Muñoz and Amy Youngren, Debbie Muñoz and Fiancé Joseph Bromley; grandchildren: Alexis Muñoz, Dominic Muñoz, JJ Lanning, Tessa Mathews, Nik Rivera, Gabby Ruiz, Anissa Muñoz, Nehemiah Muñoz, Isabelle Duran, Espe Duran, Mia Duran, Memphis Duran, Carmine Duran, Grady Muñoz, Elijah Muñoz, Maya Muñoz, Christian Muñoz, Slaidon Housewright, Silas Housewright, and Severus Housewright; great-grandson, Elliot Chiles; siblings: Francis Maguire, Arnulfo Muñoz Jr, Mary Helen Dunbarr, Juanita Holdt, and Santos Muñoz; aunt, Maria Landez, twenty-two nieces and nephews; his precious pets: Pinky, Popeye, Half Pint, and Dax (Guero); as well as numerous close friends. PRECEDING: Preceding Daniel in death were his grandson, Daniel Rivera; parents, Arnulfo and Leonarda Muñoz; and his brother, Javier Muñoz. HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Johnny Fierro, Gary Torres, Michael Archuleta, and all his grandchildren. PALLBEARERS: Dominic Muñoz, Carlitos Montoya, Nehemiah Muñoz, Slaidon Housewright, Elijah Muñoz, and James Edwards.
