Domonique "Monique" Gonzales

With much heartache, the family of Domonique “Monique” Gonzales, 34, announces her passing on Saturday, June 26, 2021. Services for Monique will be held at Church on the Move in the main Sanctuary on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 2:00 PM. On November 30, 1986, Monique was born in Roswell, New Mexico, where she attended school. She was a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt and friend. Monique had a vibrant smile and infectious laugh. Anyone who came to know Monique knew she was small petite, but strong like a lion. Everyone associated beauty and bluntness as being Monique’s traits. Domonique became a mother to her beautiful son Isaiah on her birthday in 2009. Isaiah was the apple of her eye and the love of her life. Her greatest passion and joy was spending time with her son. She was a loving, beautiful woman who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Those left to cherish Monique’s memory are her loving son, Isaiah Gonzales; parents: Carlos Ramirez Sr. and Rebecca Ramirez Gonzales; grandparents; Helen and Jim Gonzales; siblings: Erica Gonzales, Diamond Ramirez, Santana Ramirez and Carlos Ramirez; as well as her nieces and nephews: Sabryna Gonzales, Kaine Rivera, Kalel Rivera, Kimberly Rivera, Moises Coronado IV, Juliet Coronado, and Levi Meraz. Those honored to serve as Pallbearers are Malissa Gonzales, Isaac Gonzales, Gilbert Gonzales, Phillip Gonzales and Sabryna Gonzales. Monique’s tribute was written in her honor by her family. I AM FREE Don’t grieve for me, for now I am free I’m following the path God laid for me I took his hand when I heard him call; I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work and play. Tasks left undone must stay that way; I found that place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; Ahh yes these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full I’ve savored much; Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time feels all too brief; Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now.. He set me free.
