It is with great sadness that our beloved JUANITA (JUANA) MARTINEZ, 59, has left us to join our Lord on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, in Lubbock, Texas. SERVICES: A Rosary will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Monday, July 22, 2019, 9:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. A beloved mom, sister, aunt, and friend, Juana was a lifetime resident of Roswell, NM. In 1978, she graduated from Roswell High School. After graduation, Juana entered the work field as a health caregiver, where she touched the hearts of many. Juana was employed at Tobosa Development Center for over fifteen years. There was an individual client she worked with that held a special place in her heart. Juanita’s coworkers were also like her family. One of Juanita’s greatest joy was when she was able to care for Mila and Ano. She gave her heart and soul to them as they gave her so much love. Juanita was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known her. SURVIVORS: Those left to treasure and cherish memories of Juanita are: son, Richard A Martinez; siblings: Virgie (Ray) Juarez, JoAnn Martinez, Alfonso Martinez, Mary Mendoza, Darlene (Alfred) Montoya all of Roswell, NM; special niece, Jessica Juarez; great-niece, Mila Juarez; great-nephew, Emilio (Ano) Juarez, and Jacobi Alexander, whom were like her very own children; nieces: Taneesha Adams, Crystal Aragon, Monica Mendoza; and nephews: Ray R. Juarez, Agapito Mendoza, Alfred Montoya, Jr, and Timothy Montoya. PRECEDED: Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, Camilo N. and Teresa G. Martinez; nephew, Camilo (Milo) R. Juarez; and great-nephew, Noah L. Alexander. Juanita’s family would like to send a big hug and special “Thanks” to Jamie, Carla, Tommy, and Irma who visited with her prior to her departure, as well as Paul and Debbie. Broken Chain We little knew that morning God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death, we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you; you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories; your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. -Ron Tanner
