A lifelong resident of Roswell, KATHERYN MARIE MORGAN, 62, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019, in Roswell, New Mexico, at her home. SERVICES: There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Thursday, August 22, 2019, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. On October 21, 1956, Katheryn was born to Delbert and Virginia Simmons in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She attended Roswell High School. She retired after over 20 years from NM Rehablitation Center as a CNA. Katheryn enjoyed spending her time doing crafts, beading, making jewelry, and needlework. She loved the outdoors: fishing at Ft. Sumner, riding a motorcycle, and gardening were some of the many things she enjoyed. A country girl at heart, Katheryn loved her country music. An avid Cowboys fan, Katheryn, loved watching her team play. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Katheryn was a caring person who was always there doing what she could for others and had a great sense of humor. Katheryn loved all her family, immediate and extended, and treated friends like family. She enjoyed spending time with family, her children and grandchild and had a heart of gold. Katheryn had a great love for her toy chihuahua, Precious. SURVIVORS: Those left behind to eternally cherish and treasure memories of Katheryn are her father, John Adams of Summerfield, FL; ex-husband, Bill Morgan of Lubbock, TX; daughters: Alisa Morgan and wife Tina of Carlsbad, NM, Tracy Villarreal and husband Joel of Albuquerque, NM, Jennifer Adauto and husband Luis of El Paso, TX, Shelby Morgan of Roswell, NM, Melissa Morgan and husband Joseph of Lubbock, TX, Deidre Anaya and husband Gabriel of Albuquerque, NM; brothers: Troy and Linda Simmons of Summerfield, FL, Robert Carmen Simmons of Albuquerque, NM, David and Debbie Adams of Roswell, NM and grandchildren Jaymee, Jessica, Gabriel, Rhianna, Ricky, Madison, Dominic, Santiago, Lucas, Kimberly and Joseph. Plus, numerous nieces and nephews; and many, many friends. PRECEDED: preceding Katheryn in death: her parents, Delbert Simmions and Virginia Simmons Adams; widowed by, Michael Morgan; and brother, Stephen Simmons. PALLBEARERS: Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Luis Adauto, Joseph Matta, Dominic Morgan, Eric Carter, Paul Maples, and Jason Paul. In Lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in her honor at Pioneer Bank under Katheryn Morgan Benefaction account. All donations will be given to the Fraternal Order of the Eagles to assist with holiday gifts for children and family food donations.
