Mary D. Espinosa

Mary D. Espinosa, beloved wife, mother, grand-mother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend passed away on June 11, 2020 surrounded by her children. She was 76 years old. Mary was born in Carrizozo on November 11, 1943 to Theodore and Josephine Duran. Mary married Victor D. Espinoza in Roswell on June 25, 1960. They would have been married 60 years this June. Victor and Mary have 4 daughters: Vicky M. Casey, Vera Ann Espinoza, Vera F. Mosqueda and Mary V. Espinoza. They have two sons: Victor D. Espinoza Jr. and Vincent D. Espinoza. Mary’s love of God and her faith were passed on to her children. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grand children and great-grand children. Mary’s positive outlook on life spread to other’s around her. She always looked for the positive in other people. She will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who knew her. Her beautiful laugh and smile will forever be ingrained in our hearts. Mary worked for Sally Port Inn for 30 plus years as their Executive Housekeeper. Her kindness and fairness impacted many lives. Her work ethic was second to none. She also strived to pass this on to her children. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Victor D. Espinoza; her baby daughter, Vera Ann Espinoza; her parents, Theodore and Josephine Duran; paternal grand-parents, Rumaldo Aguilar Duran and Honorata Mirabal; her maternal grand-parents, Macario Aragon and Vicenta Anaya; her paternal great grand-parents, Jose Aguilar and Salome Duran; her son-in-law, Christopher B. Casey; her grandson, Victor N. Casey; her brothers, Manuel Duran, Richard Duran, Robert Duran, Rumie Duran, Billy Duran; her sisters, Josephine Hernandez, Genevieve Duran and Helen Duran. Mary is survived by her siblings, Gene Duran, Terri Chavez, Evelyn Silva and Judy Gonzales. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Angela Soto. She is survived by her children, Vicky M. Casey, Victor D. Espinoza Jr., Vera F. Mosqueda(Manuel), Vincent D. Espinoza, and Mary V. Espinoza. Mary is survived by her grand-children, Christopher V. Casey(Cynthia), Jonathon V. Casey(Vanessa), Steven R. Casey(Stephany), Cassandra J. Casey(Alfonso), Kelsie Casey, Adan Segura, Veronica Sais, Teddi Perez, Timothy Perez(Marina), Victoria Garcia, and Antonia Moreno. She is also survived by her great grand-children, Abagayle Casey, Analiese Casey, Jonathon Casey II, Autumn Casey, Nicki Casey, Alex Casey, Derek Casey, James Casey, Nicolette De La Rosa, Nathaniel De La Rosa, Andrew Lucero, A.J. Lucero, Katherine Lucero, Lily Lucero, Jariah Granado, Aaliyah Salinas, Lily Marquez, Francisco Moreno, Valerie Aguilar, Elsa Morin, Avah Perez, Timothy Perez Jr., Everlee Jo Perez. Mary’s enjoyed spending time with her family and her calico cat, Samantha. She enjoyed doing her crossword puzzles and Sudoku puzzles in pen. Mary’s favorite place was Ruidoso. She referred to Ruidoso as her “heaven” on Earth. She enjoyed the casino and bingo. As per Mary’s wishes, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
