Sylvia Ledesma

Sylvia Ledesma, 54, of Roswell, New Mexico, was called home on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, surrounded by her family. She is now reunited in heaven with our merciful God, her beloved husband, Jose “Jerry” Ledezma, and her loving parents, Simon and Rosa Guerrero. Services for Sylvia are pending at this time. A further announcement will be published on www.andersonbethany.com when arrangements are finalized. On September 2, 1965, Sylvia was born to Simon and Rosa Guerrero in Lamesa, Texas. When she was young, she had a love for basketball, singing, and band, where she played the clarinet. Sylvia married the love of her life, Jose “Jerry” Ledesma on June 10, 1989, in Roswell, New Mexico. After she was married, she dedicated herself to the care and nurturing of her family. Sylvia loved deeply and gave all she could to those she loved. As a result of Sylvia and Jerry’s marriage, they were blessed with two beautiful children. But she had so much love to give that she has raised and cared for Jerry's three daughters like they were her own. Sylvia even went on to raise four of her grandchildren. A caring soul who always put everyone above herself and her own needs, Sylvia was a listening heart who didn't judge you. She offered her advice with a compassionate, yet firm hand. Sylvia loved to sing and had an angelic voice and enjoyed karaoke with the kids. She was a strong person who met challenges in life head-on. Sylvia didn't know how to back down from a fight, especially when it came to her family. SURVIVORS: Sylvia is survived by five children and four bonus children, including her son Jerryme Ledesma and wife Emilie and their children Andrea, Aaron, Ariana, and Adilene; daughters: Jerica Ledesma, Letty Ledesma, and her children Joe, Victor, and Alison; Sonia Ledesma; Ivy Vega and her husband Andrew and their children Angel, Rudy and Daniel; Breana Ledesma and her daughter Sylvia; Irainia Matta and her son Silas, Champagne Matta, and Steven Matta. Sylvia will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her brother and sisters: Simon L. Guerrero Jr and his wife Sandra; Helen Fellows and her husband Lee; Sandy Fox and her husband Todd; Marie Guerrero-Luera and her husband Carlos. She had a multitude of nieces and nephews that will greatly miss their aunt. Sylvia touched so many lives and left an impression we can never replace. “We love you always Momma, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Friend and my Sheba.” Sylvia was brave, fearless, and relentless in her love and care of the family. So, it is requested that attendees to her service wear the color purple in honor of her bravery and her willingness to fight for us.
