Veronica Bryan

Veronica Bryan was born Veronica Rascon in Roswell, NM on September 22, 1976 to Jessie Hernandez of Roswell, NM. She was raised in Roswell and lived a short time in Ruidoso, NM and San Antonio, TX. Veronica went to high school in Roswell and later attended ENMU-Roswell. Veronica gave birth to her son Dominic Larez on January 31, 1994 and later married Harley Bryan on December 8, 2000, giving birth to their son Jack Bryan on October 5, 2001. Both children survive her at the family home. Also surviving are her mother, Jessie Hernandez; grandmother, Carmen Carrillo; sister, Monica Rascon; brother, Juan Rascon and his wife Reina and nephew Rocco Rascon as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Her best friend was Jennifer Martinez and she deeply valued this close friendship. Veronica was employed by the local Auto Zone for seven years and worked for Fastenal during the past year. She had most recently accepted a promotion with her current job and was in the process of moving to Hobbs, NM. Veronica was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on June 12, 2004 and enjoyed her worship activities. Veronica was a wonderful mother who dearly loved her children and strove to make a better life for them as a single mom. She possessed many endearing qualities. She was known as a giving and fun loving person by family and friends. She struggled to make positive changes in her life and had overcome many challenges and obstacles and was looking forward to a bright future. Veronica was strong, tenacious and self-sacrificing with an outgoing gregarious personality. Her glass was always more than half full. No matter what challenge faced her she had a habit of looking on the bright side with her ever-present great sense of humor. Veronica had many hobbies and loved to collect vintage clothes. She enjoyed photography and trading on eBay. She absolutely loved God’s creation; especially animals and she shared this love with her children. They had a season pass to SeaWorld and went there many times together. As a daughter, her mother remembers that not a day went by that Veronica didn’t call her several times a day just to let her know she was thinking of her. She was a tender and affectionate mom whose greatest joy in life were her kiddos. There were many times there was no money available yet she always found a way for her and the kids to have fun together. She had a million watt smile and found time to build great memories with her kids. As a sister, her siblings think they couldn’t have had a better one. Her brother remembers her working to help support the family at sixteen and giving him spending money as a young boy. “She’d cook me breakfast and dinner plus pack my lunch.” Her sister remembers Veronica always encouraging her to be more outgoing and “to come out of her shell.” Veronica had a nurturing nature and easygoing manner that just can’t be replaced. Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 brings out that under the sun there is a time to laugh, a time to cry, and a purpose for everything. Veronica used her time to laugh and share many good times with her beloved family and friends. For this time and all the joys shared they are forever Grateful! Her family can’t wait to see her again as John 5:28 brings out “Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” Revelation 21: 4 states that “death shall be no more.” These are promises that Veronica firmly believed in and we her loved ones cling to as we look forward to welcoming her back and holding her close once again. Services are being handled by Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home, 2609 S. Main Street in Roswell, NM. A viewing will be held on the evening of Friday October 27, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home. Officiating is Michael Martinez of the Las Lunas English Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. A reception will follow at the Yucca Center, 500 S. Richardson, Roswell, NM from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. A special thank you to the staff there for their efforts during this difficult time. Veronica Bryan you gave to all Your very best. Now it's time for you to rest. Our short time with you we’ll cherish. As we wait to see you! A fine example you left your sons Of how to be a loving one. Your smile and grace, your wonderful face; won't be forgotten, never erased, never replaced. You were sweet and beautiful, inside and out; a friend to all, round and about. You are loved by so many – all who knew you. You have Jehovah's assurance of waking up in a New earth where everything is fresh and new. Now it's up to us to do what we have to do in order to see YOU!
