Bobby Satterfield, 76, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in Roswell, NM. Please take a few moments to share a kind thought or memory with Bobby’s family at www.andersonbethany.com. Memorial Services for Bobby will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 4:00 PM. On March 18, 1945, Bobby Lee Satterfield was born to Otho F Satterfield and Betty Guinn Satterfield in Alamogordo, NM. As a baby, he lived with his parents on the I Bar X Ranch, near Carrizozo, NM. At age five, his family moved to Dexter, NM. Growing up, Bobby and his family moved up and down the Pecos Valley. He attended Dexter High School. After, Bobby became a truck driver for Roadway Corporation and the Mail Service Hauling Freight and Mail. He then worked as a mechanic in Roswell, NM. In early 1990, Bobby started a mobile truck service. When he wasn’t running his mobile service truck repair business, he could be found at the drag strip or helping a friend work on theirs. Bobby liked to do many things, but most of all he loved drag racing and the many friends he made within the drag racing community. Bobby will be missed by his family and friends. Those left to treasure and hold dear memories of Bobby are his children: Brenda Dear of Roswell NM; Brenda’s children: Cody and Elisa Townsend of Clayton NM, Heather Powell of Lovington NM, Jasmine Powell of Roswell, Jeremy Graves (deceased), and Brenda; grandchildren: Katelyn and Natalie Townsend, Joseph, Emily, Knowah Lopez, Lilyonna Powell, Brooke, Drew, Brylee, Bryden Graves, Sharla and Lynn Coats of Roswell NM; Sharla and Lynn’s children: Savannah Duran of Hobbs NM, Genevieve Duran of Alamogordo NM, Connor Coats, Lealund Coats; Sharla Lynn’s grandchildren: Luke Lodoza (Savannah), Lyric Lucero (Genevieve), Shawanna Satterfield of Roswell NM, Shawanna’s children: Brandon and Monica Spicer of Bakersfield, CA, Kristen and Jeremy Freeman, and Hudson and Lincoln of Tuscola TX, Tamara Spicer of Roswell NM, Tamara’s children: Kyla Satterfield of Roswell NM, Jacob Spicer of Dallas TX, Ronda K Smith of Carlsbad NM, Ronda’s children: Amber and Dwight Kincaid of Artesia NM, Casey and Angela Sopher of Roswell NM; Ronda’s grandchildren: Tatum and Wesley Kincaid, Haley Sopher, Mariah Wilkins, and Leland Sopher.
