Obituary for Carl Elwood Tate Graveside services for Carl Elwood Tate, 71, of Roswell will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at 2:00 pm at Memory Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Barnett officiating. Carl passed away September 6, 2008. Carl was born October 29, 1936 in Tulia, TX to Benjamin Franklin Tate and Mary Tate. He was a graduate of Amarillo High School. Carl was a long time resident of Roswell where he worked for Nova Bus Transportation Manufacturing Corporation for 30 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by many. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Zora, two sons; Troy Tate and his wife JoCarolyn of Elkhart, IN, Jeffery Tate of Joplin, MO, two daughters; Beth Montoya and Richard of Roswell, April Wise and her husband David of Amarillo, TX., ten grandchildren; Patricia Gabazza, Stacey Burleson and Tanna, Olivia, Craig and Andrew Tate, Kevin and Brandon Wise, Christopher Underwood, Diana Burleson, Heaven O’dell and Hannah and Mariah Montoya, seven great-grandchildren; Austin, Conner, Mathew and Gauge Burleson, Heaven O’dell, Hannah and Cameron Gabazza, three nieces; Laurinda and Diana Tate, Tracy Farris and Gene, one great- nephew; Anthony Patterson and Amanda and one great-niece Kierstyn Patterson. Carl is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary Tate, two daughters; Barbara Wilson, Carla Tate and one brother Wade Tate.
