Cecilio Torres

Cecilio Torres was born November 22, 1939, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to Daniel and Margarita Torres Sr. He drifted peacefully at home like a feather, surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, and the priest on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. Memorial services: There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Thursday, March 28, 2019, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 PM. A Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Friday, March 29, 2019, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at General Douglas L. McBride Veterans Cemetery. Cecilio honorably served in the US Army from 1963 to 1968. On June 27, 1971, he married his Reyna, Eduviges Alvidrez, in Chihuahua, Mexico. They were happily married for forty-seven years and nine months and had five children. Cecilio enjoyed playing the piano, tinkering with electronics, and spending time laughing and joking with his family. He was a Godly man who was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Cecilio and his wife enjoyed traveling and seeing all the beautiful places around the world. Survivors: Those left to eternally treasure memories of Cecilio are his loving wife, Eduviges Alvidrez Torres; children: Elsa and husband Rodolfo Palma Jr., Susana and husband Elvio Palma Campos, Alberto and wife Monica Torres, Monica Torres and Naomi Galvan, Leticia Torres; grandchildren: Isaac Palma, Iliana Palma, Erik Palma, Yovana Cecilia Perez; siblings: Teresa Ortiz, Daniel Torres Jr., Jorge Torres, Vicente Torres, Carmen Diaz, Magdalena Jean, Miguel Torres; several aunts and uncles; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded: Preceding Cecilio in death were his mother, Margarita Escobedo Torres; father, Daniel Sr. and stepmother Piedad Torres; brothers: Jesus Torres, Ezekiel Torres, and Roberto Torres. Honorary Pallbearer: Chosen to serve as Cecilio’s Honorary Pallbearer will be Ruben Palma Sr. Pallbearers: Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Alberto Torres, Rubén Palma, Isaac Palma, Erik Palma, George Palma, Pedro Palma, Rodolfo Palma Jr., Elvio Palma Campos, and Héctor Palma Jr. Cecilio's tribute was lovingly written in his honor by his family.
