On the solemn day of Friday, May 17, 2024, we bid a heartfelt farewell to the cherished soul of Christopher “Chris” Allen Duran, who unexpectedly departed at the age of 56. The family of Chris will be receiving visitors at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 10 am to 2 pm, with a Memorial Service to follow at 2 pm. Christopher Allen Duran, a man of joy, love, and laughter, leaves behind a legacy of warmth and fond memories that will be cherished eternally. In his honor we celebrate a life well lived, heart well loved, and a soul that will forever reside in the hearts of those who knew him Chris’ love for his family knew no bounds, evident in his joyous gatherings, lively cookouts, and a laughter that filled the air when he was around. Chris had an influential laugh for all those who were around. A connoisseur of music classics. Chris found solace in the simple pleasures of life. His spirit soared on the open road astride his beloved Harley bike, the wind whispering tales of freedom and adventure. He loved attending church services with his sister Jennifer. In the tapestry of memories we weave, Chris’ vibrant personality shines as a beacon of light. His infectious laughter, warm presence, and genuine affection touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we reflect on the moments shared and the loved bestowed, we find comfort in the legacy of a man who embraced life with open arms. Though Chris may have embarked on his next journey, his spirit remains intertwined with ours, a reminder of the enduring bonds of love and kinship. In the echoes of laughter and the whispers of shared stories, we find solace in the memories that will forever illuminate our path. Chris’ legacy lives on through his sons: Christopher Ray Duran, Ernesto, and stepson, Matthew Luna Ray Duran; loving grandkids: Christopher Ray Duran Jr, Destiny, Dominic Duran, and Chrisel Duran; sisters: Jennifer Duran and husband Albert “birdie” Espinoza, and Rebecca Duran; brothers, Paul Narbaiz and Juanito Duran; nephews: Arturo Duran, Sammy Duran, and Fernando Lujan; nieces: Cynthia Aldaz and husband Eric Aldaz, Regina and Renee Duran; and special niece’ “Chunky Monkey” Alizae Acosta. Chris was proceeded in death by his father, Juan Duran; mother, Lupe Duran; sister, Yolanda Duran; brothers, Erwin “Vanito” Duran and Chilelo Duran; and niece Vanessa Espinoza. Chris’ tribute was lovingly written by his family.
