It is with great sorrow that our nephew, brother, cousin, and friend, Daniel Juan Chavez Cobos went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 26, 2024. There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a Graveside Service at South Park Cemetery on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 10 a.m. The family would like to invite all who would like to join to a gathering with food and refreshments at the Fraternal Order of Eagles located at 3201 S. Sunset following the burial. Daniel was born May 17, 1984, to Danny Cobos and Lois Chavez. Daniel was raised and loved by numerous family members. He was a tattoo artist, and he attended Roswell Schools. He loved being surrounded by his family, cousins, and friends. He was a loyal son, nephew, brother, cousin, and friend to everyone he met. Our family has fond memories of adventures with Daniel. He had a sense of humor that was contagious with a big heart. Left to cherish memories of Daniel are his siblings: Joe Ray Chavez, Richard Cobos, Samantha Mireles, Marissa Stanza, and Patricia Chavez; cousins like sisters: Rena Orona, and Geraldine Orona; aunts and uncles: Teddy Chavez, Tommy Chavez, Raul Orona, Nancy Chavez, Tammy Chavez (Teddy), Gloria Espinoza, Rita (Frank) Gabaldon, Darlene Gonzales, Diane (Joe) Ventura, and Jeannie Mireles; numerous nephews and nieces; and many close friends. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents: Danny Cobos and Lois Chavez; grandparents: Moises (Alice) Orona and Ted (Edna) Chavez; great-grandparents: Juan (Erminda) Cobos, Moises Orona, Beatrice Orona, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Chavez, and Mr. and Mrs. Blankenship; great-great grandparents: Roger (Cornelia) Salazan; Juan ( Jesusita) Cobos, Mr. and Mrs. Blankenship, Mr. and Mrs. Chavez, Jacob (Lorenzita) Mireles and Mr. and Mrs. Orona; uncles: Ronnie Chavez Sr., Raul Roger Guerrero, and Eloy Mireles Jr; and numerous cousins including most recent, Ronnie Chavez Jr. The family of Daniel would like to give special thanks to family and friends for contributions of food, money, facilities and their time and prayers. Daniel will truly be missed. Fond memories will remain in our hearts. Rest in peace Daniel and we hope you’re at peace. Daniel’s tribute was lovingly written by his family.
