Donald Glynn Lyons was born August 11, 1952 in Carlsbad, NM to Lonnie and Bernice Lyons. He married his beloved wife Jaclynn Lyons on June 20, 1975. Donald was widely known as a dedicated family man who shaped his entire life around his 4 daughters. His daughters and grandchildren were his heart, his soul, his everything. As a father he was very protective of his daughters and deeply dependable to every one of their needs. He taught his daughters to work hard, to be honest, and never give up. He will be remembered for his patience, his wisdom, and his love. In their eyes he was the perfect man, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend who loved deeply and was always there for everyone. Though our hearts are heavy, we are forever grateful for the time we had and the memories that we will cherish forever. He leaves behind a family that is shaped by his love, humor, and strength. Donald is survived by his 4 daughters: Mary Ann Walton, partner William Holbert, Rose Ann King, husband Joshua King, Genevieve Lyons, partner Albert Gonzales, Sue Ann Lyons, partner Zachary Naegle; 13 Grandchildren: Nneka Truex, Camillo Madrid, Donald (Trae) Truex, Justin Birdsey, Jacklyn Truex, Ryan Birdsey, Robert Truex, Joshua King Jr, David Birdsey, Tristen Birdsey, Albert Gonzales, Tara Holbert and Zaden Holbert; Great Grandchildren, Nicolas Birdsey and Amelia Ki Truex; Brothers: Twin brother Ronald Lyons, wife Alyson of Roswell NM, Joe "Bud" Lyons of Oklahoma; Many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and his cat, "Cat" whom he dearly loved. Donald is preceded in death by his beloved wife Jaclynn Lyons, Life partner Eleanor Pena, son Donald G. Lyons Jr, great granddaughter Kendall Iris Gaumond, His parents Lonnie and Bernice Lyons, sisters Bess Lyons, Betty Minshew, Linda Andrews, Peggy Wallace, Shirley Capps, Genie Lyons, Teresa Odell, Brothers Don Lyons and David Lyons and his best friend Charlie. He will forever be missed, sweet dreams Daddy. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday June 28th 2026 , at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Starting at 2pm.
