Funeral services for Dwight Eugene Morgan, 68, of Roswell will be held at 2 pm, Thursday January 21, 2010 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Sons officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am to 8 pm Tuesday, January 19, 2010 and Wednesday from 8am to 8pm at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home. Dwight passed away Friday, January 15, 2010 in Lubbock, Texas. Dwight was born on August 5, 1941 to Harold Louis and Florilla Morgan in Artesia, NM. He and Betty were married February 18, 1961 in Roswell. Dwight enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, fishing and hunting, but what he loved most of all was spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Dwight is survived by his wife Betty of the family home, two daughters, Darlene and Vivian Morgan of Roswell, one brother; Jim Morgan and his wife Debbie, three sisters; Sheila Dalton and Shera Paul and her husband Jerry all of Roswell, Shirley Nelson and her husband Stan of Las Cruces, his grandson; Eric Brisco and his companion Franchesca Pietropolo, two granddaughters, Roxanne Jeffries and her husband Scott, Lori Brisco and her companion Cody Moore, five great grandchildren; Kami and Hailey Brisco, Katelyn Jeffries, Zachery Jeffries and Taylor Moore, one sister in law; Julie Hause and her husband, one brother in law; James Reid and his wife Donna, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; Harold Louis and Florilla Morgan, three brothers; Paul Dean, Michael Louis and Gerald Dwayne Morgan, one brother in law; Paul Dalton, one sister in law; Kathy Morgan. Pallbearers will be David Blair, Brian Daulton, Jimmy and Harold Morgan and Jason and Michael Paul. The Broken Chain by Unknown We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.
