Eva Horton

Another angel has been called to heaven, Eva Bell Horton, 53, of Roswell answered the call at her mother’s home surrounded by the love of her family on the 18th day of May, 2013. A rosary will be recited for Eva Horton at 7pm Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. A mass will be held at 12:10 pm Friday, May 24, 2013 at Assumption Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Pacquing officiating. Eva was born on February 3, 1960 in Roswell, NM to Pablo and Arabella ( Archuleta ) Horton. Eva was employed with various jobs throughout her life. She loved to work where there was a lot of people for God blessed her with the ability of being out spoken, loving, caring and she knew no stranger. Eva touched the lives of everyone she came into contact with. Her special gifts included having the biggest heart in the world; she was a super woman mom. She was not only a mother to her son and daughter, but to all her nieces and nephews as well as their friends. Eva’s love of life, her laughter and her crazy sense of humor brought happiness to everyone. She loved everyone and will be dearly missed. Eva is survived by her loving son, Salvador Horton and his wife, Krystal of Roswell and her loving daughter, Reana Gonzales and her husband, Sergio also of Roswell; her grandchildren, Adrianna, Racquel, Sergio Gonzales, Jr., Melena Renee Horton and Andrew James Horton; her brothers, Martin Horton and Paul Horton both of Roswell; her sisters, Vera Ortiz and her husband, Robert; Gloria Archuleta and her husband, Danny and Connie Horton all of Roswell; numerous family, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends of nieces and nephews whom all thought of her like a mother and loved her just as much. She was preceded in death by her loving father, Pablo Horton and her brother, Richard Archuleta. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Contreras, Robert Ignacio Ortiz, Michael Ortiz, Jerry Horton, Leo Herrera, Robert Horton, Paul Horton, Jr., Eddy Horton, Martin Pablo Horton, Gene and Melvin Soliz, Joe and Adam Soliz and John Barela. The family would like to offer their appreciation to everyone for their concern, calls, and emotional support during the families time of need. They would like to thank Vista Care Hospice and their staff for all the comfort and caring they gave to the family, but most of all to our special angel Eva. Services are under the direction of Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory. I’m Free Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free I am following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss Ah, these things I, too, will miss. Be not burdened with time of sorrow, I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow. My Life's been full, I savored much. Good friends, good times, a loved one touched. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me. God wanted me now; He set me free.
