Everett Hooser

Funeral services for Everett J. Hooser, 77, of Roswell will be held at 10 am, Friday, May 28, 2010 at South Manor Baptist Church with Pastor Butch Neal officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Everett went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 21, 2010. In addition there will be a viewing Thursday, May 27, 2010 from 8am to 5 pm at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home. Everett was born June 8, 1932 in Roswell, NM to George Washington Hooser and Minnie Frances Myres. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Everett enjoyed deer hunting, gardening, tractor work, playing games with family and friends, playing baseball with his kids and grandkids, eating homemade ice cream and really enjoyed reading his bible. He loved his family and really loved the Lord and loved serving the Lord. Everett was a very giving person, a hard worker at everything he did and an active member at South Manor Baptist Church. He was a lifetime farmer and an accomplished mechanic. While growing up, he worked with his dad at J.P. White Farms. Everett worked for Jack Patterson for 45 years. He is survived by his wife; Emma Jean Hooser of Roswell, three daughters; Patricia Westfall and her husband Bob of Roswell, Ronna Nord and her husband David of Amarillo, Cheryl Lynn Griffith and her husband Alan Howell of Artesia, two sons; Eddie Hooser and his wife Denise of Las Cruces, Gary Hooser and his wife Sharon of Roswell, four step children; Billy Stotts and his wife Angela of Roswell, Bobby Stotts and his wife Patty George of Roswell, Barbara Osborne and her husband Dennis, Sarah Lewis and her husband Burl, twenty grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Everett was preceded in death by his previous wife, Shirley Jean Hooser, one daughter, Cheryl Ann Griffith and two brothers, Leon Hooser and Walter Logan. Pallbearers will be Aaron Nord, Chad Griffith, Brad Griffith, Ryan Hooser, Steven Hooser, Daniel Fuentes, Jody Trammell and Eric Marshall. Honorary Pallbearers will be Logan Griffith, Ted Kirkendall, Bill Kenney, Rudy Rodriguez, Kim Newton, Raymond Russell, Burl Lewis, Dennis Osborne, Dan Coleman and Robert Jackson. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Crit Hobbs, Dr. Edgard Badine, Dr. Hamid Feroze. Dr. Asif Muhammad and the staff at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center.
