Gloria Middleton

Gloria Julia Middleton, age 89, passed away in the early morning hours Wednesday, February 7, 2024 in Roswell, NM. Please take a moment to share a kind thought or memory with Gloria’s family at www.andersonbethany.com. She was a beautiful lady who married a handsome man, Franklin. She worked tirelessly and lovingly raising nine children. She was mostly a stay at home Mom in her early-mid years of her marriage. She worked as a factory worker for a time and at a daycare for twenty years. Her Church and her love of Jesus were also a very important part of her life. On 29 November 1934, Gloria was born to Frank and Julianna Kochish in River Rouge, MI. She attended Fordson High School in Dearborn, MI. Gloria married Franklin Middleton on August 25, 1955 in Los Angeles, CA. She was a faithful member of the Roswell First Church of the Nazarene in NM and served in many activities. She was a strong woman. She grew up during the Great Depression. Gloria remembers being told that as a baby her bed was a dresser drawer. She raised her nine children faithfully, despite being ridiculed, at times, from others about having such a large family. She managed to feed and care for all of her family. Even in her old age, she worked hard to care for herself, to be independent as much as possible and be involved in serving. Gloria will be greatly missed by family and friends. Those who are left to treasure and cherish memories of Gloria are her children: Julia (Allen) Pothoof, Linda (Dan) McClean, Franklin Middleton, Nancy Wamel, Jeanette (Paul) Clifford, Eric (Cynthia) Middleton, Bonnie (Michael) Jaynes, Reba (Ray) White, Carl (Nannette) Middleton; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous members of the First Church of the Nazarene. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin as well as all of her siblings. Her family wishes to extend a sincere thanks to the nurses and various aids/helpers of the hospice organization for their loving care and respect for her. Neighbors and members of her church who took the time to visit and prepare meals for her and her visiting family. And to thank all those who prayed for her.
