GRACIELA “CHELITA” OLIVARRIA, 47, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at home in the arms of her sister, Claudia and surrounded by her loved ones in Roswell, New Mexico. She was born on July 4, 1972, to Ruben and Rosa Cervantes Olivarria in Cuidad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. SERVICES: A Funeral Service for Chelita will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. “My precious Sister, my “Baby.” How is it that I never saw your wings when you were here with me? When you closed your eyes and soared to the Heaven’s, I could hear the faint flutter of your wings as you left. Your body is no longer on this side, but your spirit is here eternally and I see your halo shine. I close my eyes and see your wings surround me in my saddest moments and happiest times. Sister, my Angel…God has given you your assignment. Always my sister, and forever my Angel. You fly into my dreams when I am asleep. I feel your wings brush my face, wiping away the tears I shed since I can no longer hold you in my arms. But in my heart, you didn’t have to earn those wings, you always had them and you will always be my Angel. Chelita, I love you so much! I will miss our sleepless nights. To hear you yell, to walk into your room and see your big precious eyes, to dress you and sing to you good morning and good night! To talk to you about Mami and Papi and tell you all my secrets and my dreams, as you would tell me yours with your eyes. I will miss kissing the palm of your hand, watching your smile, rubbing your feet, lying next to you, kissing your forehead, and holding you tight. Sister, it was a great HONOR being chosen to care for you. You taught me how to love unconditionally because we were able to share our lives with an Angel who had a pure heart, never jealous, angry, selfish, or ungiving. Yes, lots of tears and worries, but you made me the woman I am today. I love you MORE THAN I Love myself! Because of you, I can see just how special life is and that miracles do exist. You are my best adventure. The Angels all rejoiced as you entered the Promised Land, beyond the Gates of Pearl touched the Wall of Jasper, dipped your feet in the Crystal Sea. The beauty is beyond words as you touch the Savior’s hand. Some day I will meet you there. Chelita, thank you for being my sister, my baby. We will always love and forever miss you dearly. Barela; aunts: Tia Chela, Tia Aurelia, Tia Lecha; and Tio Fi; nieces and nephews: Oceana Olivarria, Joshua Olivarria, Magdalyn Barela, Briana Hobby, Ruby Hobby, Ruben Hobby, DaSean Lacey, Isaiah Lacey, Michael Jr. Cardona, Elijah Cardona, Julianna Cardona, Simon Harless, Jazlyn Chavez, Katerine Overstreet; great-nieces and nephews: Antonio Martinez, Achillies Martinez, Akaiden Martinez, Aliana Vasquez, Meilani Young, Sonnyray Horton, and a baby on the way, Joshua Jr. Olivarria; and loving pet, Frankie, who loved sitting by her bed, keeping guard. PRECEDED: Graciela is preceded in death by her father, Ruben Olivarria; mother, Rosa Cervantes Olivarria; brother, and Manuel Olivarria; and grandmother “Mi Abuelita, “ Josephina. The Olivarria family would like to give a special “Thank You” to Dr. Randall McGuire and Dr. Donald Wenner, along with all the staff. Another very special “Thank You” to Dr. Piñon and his beautiful staff for so many years of giving Chelita love, care, and for always treating her with dignity and respect, sharing good and bad times together.
