Isabel S. Aguirre

ISABEL S AGUIRRE, 91, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020, in Roswell, New Mexico. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Isabel’s family at www.andersonbethany.com. SERVICES: A Graveside Service for Isabel will be held at South Park Cemetery on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at 2:00 PM. On April 14, 1929, Isabel was born to Ralph Salcido Sr. and Catarina Baca in Hondo, NM. She worked as a nurse at the Osteopathic Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital, and the Casa Maria Center. Isabel volunteered at the Joy Center Adult Daycare until 2009. She was a member of the Senior Circle Center. Isabel’s favorite pastime was playing cards and solitaire. She loved to crochet, sew, make blankets, dolls, and necklaces. Isabel would make miniature furniture out of popsicle sticks. Family and friends will always cherish in their hearts and minds the memories they were blessed to share with Isabel. SURVIVORS: Those left to Honor and Cherish Isabel’s memory are daughters: Eva Aguilar, Stella Dutchover, Dorothy Olivares; five generations of grandchildren, including great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-great-grandchildren; countless extended family: nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends; as well as her close friend, Betty from the Joy Center. PRECEDED: Isabel is preceded in death by parents, Catarina B. Salcido and Rafel Salcido; children: Eddie S. Aguilar Sr, and wife Lydia C, Steaphen S Aguilar Sr, Daniel S. Aguilar Sr, Sammy S. Aguilar; grandchildren: Cristal Lee Aguilar, Lucia Lujan; siblings: Juan Baca and wife Josefita, Arcenia B. Ortiz and husband Ignacio, Flora S. Peyton, Carmelita S. Gujaca and husband Emilio, Ralph B. Salcido and wife Connie. Special thanks to Sunset Villa doctors and nursing staff for taking care of my mom. God Saw You God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and He whispered, “Come with me.” With tearful eyes we watched you. We watched you fade away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He chose to take the best. It’s lonesome here without you, we miss you more each day. Life doesn’t seem the same since you have gone away. When days are sad and lonely and everything goes wrong, We seem to hear you whisper, “Cheer Up and Carry On” Each time we see your picture you seem to smile and say, “Don’t cry, I’m in God’s hands, we’ll meet again someday!”
