Obituary for Larry Vega Larry Vega, age 47, loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin entered eternal life Saturday, July 5, 2008. He was born on December 20, 1960 in Roswell, NM to Jesus G. and Alice Vega, Sr. Memorial services for Larry will be held at 3 pm Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home with Father Juan Montoya O.F.M. officiating. Larry enjoyed watering the grass with his mom and liked to walk his dog, Blackie. He liked to watch the races on the weekend with his friend, Mike Norris, and play duece. Larry loved to listen and jam out to his music really loud. He especially loved for the family to get together and spend time with his one and only daughter. Larry is survived by his daughter, Rachel E. Vega, of the family home; two brothers, Jesus G. Vega, Jr. of Tucson, AZ, and Stephen A. Torres and his wife, Jan, of San Jose CA; three sisters, Sally A. Vega of Albuquerque, NM, Emily C. Molinar and Kimberly A. Salayandia, both of Roswell; special nephews, Santiago J. Molinar IV and his wife, Kala, Christopher N. Lobato, Nicholas Salayandia, all of Roswell, Jesus G. Vega III of Santa Fe, NM, Jacob G. Vega of Tucson, AZ, Lucas and James Maestas, both of Albuquerque, and Larry Butts of Las Vegas, NV; special nieces, Megan A. Molinar, Andriana E. “Audie” Vega, Myranda Salayandia, Corina Aguilar, and Melissa Dutchover, all of Roswell; great nieces and nephews, Bryanna D. Molinar, Santiago J. Molinar V, and Vernon A Molinar, who he loved dearly; special aunts and uncles, Rachel Alvarez, Irvin Marrujo, and Raymond and Evangelina Lopez Sr., all of Roswell; cousins, Raymond and Ruthann Lopez Jr and daughters, of Albuquerque, Ted and Victoria Lopez and daughter, David and Stephanie Lopez and daughters, of Roswell; his special companion and special pet, Blackie; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Larry was preceded in death by a brother, Carlos Vega, maternal grandmother, Consepcion Alvarez, paternal grandmother, Guadalupe Figueroa, uncle Guadalupe Alvarez and a life long friend, Alfred Garza Larry was dearly loved and will be tremendously missed and forever remembered by all whose lives he touched. Fill not your heart with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles, I’ve only gone to rest a little while although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt and given me relief. So, dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but, as I used to be. Because I will remember you all and look on with a smile. Understand, in your hearts, I’ve only gone to rest a little while. As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.
