A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, MARIA ELENA DUARTE, 74, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, in Roswell, New Mexico. SERVICES: A Rosary for Maria Elena will be recited by Martha Romero at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at 4:00 PM. On June 11, 1946, Maria Elena was born to Alberto and Ester Duarte in Malaga, New Mexico. She was the beloved companion of Victorio Fuentez, who preceded her in death. Prior to retirement, Maria Elena worked as a CNA caregiver for many years. She loved drinking a cold beer and cooking for her family and friends. Maria Elena’s most memorable moments were the times she visited with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she loved them dearly. Maria Elena was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by her family and friends.
