Paul Zamora

Memorial services for Paul Wayne Zamora Sr., 49, of Roswell will be held at 2 pm, Friday, February 26, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Juan Antonio O.F.M. officiating. Paul passed away Sunday, February 21, 2010 at his home. Paul was born August 2, 1960 in Roswell, NM to Grace E. Zamora. He served in the United States Army from 1980-1989. Paul was a family man who loved spending time with his family especially his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing football on the wii and going for long drives. Paul was a fighter and taught his children to never say “I can’t” because that meant “you don’t want to.” He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his three daughters and one son; Aundrea Zamora and her fiancée Alberto Torrero, Paul W. Zamora Jr., Kristiianna Zamora and her companion Brian Thomas Mayes and Elizabeth Grace Zamora all of Roswell, five grandchildren; Joshua J.R. Sorg, Brian T. Mayes Jr., Lillie N.G. Mayes, Thomas J.P. Mayes, Krystopher E.B. Torrero all of Roswell, his ex wife and lifelong friend Anna M. Gonzales, two brothers; Michael Zamora and his wife Shelly of Amarillo and Vidal Lolly Zamora and his wife Sandra of Roswell and two sisters; Teresa Lynn Zamora of Jonesburg, TN, Leta Faye Quesada and her husband Jose of Rio Rancho,nine nieces and nephews; James and Patricia Salas, Joy S. Butler, January Zamora, Jason and Jennifer Zamora, Jennie Sena, Nicolette and Gabriel Quesada, four tias; Tia Presilian and Uncle Ben, Tia Arcenia and Uncle Ernie, Tia Teresa and Uncle Armando all of Roswell and Tia Mary Helen of Oklahoma, and many close friends who he touched in a very special way. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Grace Eva Gutierrez and William Gutierrez “Pops”, one brother, Frankie Zamora, his grandmother, Rita Benavidez Zamora and Vidal Zamora, three uncles, Ernie Flores, Albert and Roman Zamora. The family would like to thank Loretta from Vista Care for her special care in their time of need, also a very special thank you to Dr. Gutierrez and Dr. Libby and his team for never giving up.
