Raymond Fuentes

Funeral services for Raymond Fuentes, 62, of Roswell will be held at 7 pm Thursday, March 20, 2008, at South Main Church of Christ. Graveside services will be at 10 am Friday, March 21, 2008, at South Park Cemetery. Raymond passed away March 14, 2008 at Casa Maria Health Care Center. Viewing for Raymond will be from 8 am to 8 pm Wednesday and from 8 am to 5 pm Thursday. A lifelong resident of Roswell, Raymond was born on February 18, 1946 to Ramon and Sofia Perez Fuentes. Raymond enjoyed his work as a truck driver, he also enjoyed baking, running, and working out. Raymond is survived by his sons, Raymond Fuentes Jr. and Robert Fuentes (Bobby), both of Albuquerque; two daughters, Bernadette Fuentes of Albuquerque and Theresa Fuentes of Roswell; grandchildren, Jaqueline, Gabriel, Savannah, Jade Fuentes, all of Albuquerque, and Timothy of Roswell; brothers, Domingo Fuentes and his wife, Susan, Jose (Joe) Fuentes, both of Roswell, and Lupe Fuentes and his wife, Cathy, of Albuquerque; sister, Eustacia and her husband, Joe L. Najar, of Roswell; two very close friends, Josie Aragon and Pauline Najar; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Ramon Fuentes, mother, Sofia Perez Fuentes, two brothers, Julio and Manuel Fuentes, and four sisters, Natcha Galvan Cecilia (Teta) Ogas, Nestora Esquibel, and Anita Fuentes . Pallbearers will be Robert Fuentes, Lorenzo Najar, Lupeto Fuentes, Chente Fuentes, Willie Fuentes, and Nickie Fuentes. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy, Phillip, Jesse, and Ralph Najar, Alex Ogas, Moises Orona, Chris, Johnny and Wilford Fuentes, and Johnny Ray Ortiz.
