Reynaldo Randall Ponce

Reynaldo Randall Ponce, 65, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, in Roswell, New Mexico. On May 6, 1959, Randall was born to Lucas Ponce and Rosa Sanchez in Artesia, New Mexico, and raised in Midway, New Mexico. He attended school at East Grand Plains Elementary, Mountain View Middle School, and Roswell High School. After graduation, he married the love of his life Irene Ponce. Randall was an instrumental part in starting the union for the City of Roswell. In his life Randall found a passion for work as an equipment operator in the construction industry, and prior to retirement, he held several positions within the City of Roswell Water Department, working his way up to the supervisor role. Upon retirement from the city, Randall began working again at Southwest Engine. Randall loved spending time with family and was always willing to help everyone or anyone who needed it, his generosity was unmatched. He had many hobbies throughout his life, such as fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle with his wife. He enjoyed watching football, especially his favorite sports team, the Minnesota Vikings. Randall will be missed by his family and friends. Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Randall are his daughters: Misty Pientka, Monique Rubio, and Alicia Cabrera and husband Chris; son, Joseph Dominguez and wife Michelle; grandkids: Nicole Rubio and husband Manuel; Daniel Rubio Jr. and wife Bionca; Michael Rubio and wife Brittany; Santiago Dominguez and wife Barbourella; Alicia Hernandez, Ramiro Dominguez, Genevieve, Joey, and Destynie Cabrera, and Tyrza, Aubrey, Nico, and Nina Pientka; great-grandkids: Gavyn, Sage, and Aaliyah Apodaca, Richie Villa, Aubrey, Kai, Maverick, and Rubio, Paisleigh and Audicah Dominguez and Alehandro Ceballos. Randall leaves behind several siblings, Bobby Ponce, Manuel Ponce and wife Delphina; Bibian Ponce and wife Lollie; Lupe Ponce and wife Kerry; Ernestine Ward and husband Monty; Mary Browning and husband Sam; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Randall had a special place in his heart for the people that he loved, especially his close friends: Lali Grado, and Fred Renteria; and many other friends that made his days special. Randall is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Ponce; parents: Lucas and Rosa Ponce; and grandparents: Juan and Rosalia Ponce along with Alfonso and Paula Sanchez. The family of Randall wishes to extend sincere thanks to the nurses and staff at Gentiva Hospice, the staff at Casa Maria Health Care Center, and his friends and family that spent time with him in his last days. Randall’s tribute was written in his honor, by his family.
