Obituary for Rigoberto Espinoza A rosary will be recited for Rigoberto Espinoza, 92, of Dexter at 7 pm Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services for Rigoberto will be at 10 am Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at Immaculate Concepcion Catholic Church in Dexter with Deacon Jesus Herrera officiating. Burial will follow in South Park Cemetery. Viewing for Rigoberto will be from 8 am to 8 pm Monday, and 8 am until after the Rosary on Tuesday. Rigoberto was born on February 15, 1915 to Guadalupe Espinoza and Guadalupe Rios Espinoza in Fort Hancock, Texas. He and Petra Rodriguez were married March 16, 1946 in Fort Hancock; Petra survives him at the family home. Rigoberto served his country during World War II earning the Purple Heart, along with several other medals and awards. He was a life member of the VFW and worked on farms around Artesia for many years. Rigoberto was a great man who was a wonderful husband, father and friend who supported his family in all their endeavors. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his wife, Petra, Rigoberto is survived by his children, Gilberto J. Espinoza and wife, Armira, of Dexter, Mary Chacon and husband, Alberto, of Roswell, Martin Jose Espinoza and wife, Debbie, of Roswell; grandsons, Gilberto Jose Espinoza Jr. and wife, Mary , of Roswell and Martin Espinoza Jr. and Amen Espinoza all of Roswell; granddaughters, Marissa Espinoza, of Roswell, Blanca Chacon of Dexter, Aranita Cordero and husband, Gabriel, of Roswell, Deanna Chacon of Dexter, and Andrea Sanchez and husband, Raul of Dexter; great-granddaughters, Lori Espinoza of Roswell, Gabbie Espinoza of Roswell, Natalia Espinoza, Estrella Chacon, Seleste Espinoza, Jeannette Sanchez, Maria Sanchez, Andrianna Sanchez, Priscilla Sanchez, and Andrea Sanchez, all of Dexter; great great-grandsons, Joseph Silva, Gabriel Alberto Cordero, and Adrian Espinoza all of Roswell; step-sons and family, Steve Tarin and Family, Roy Tarin and Family, Terrie and Ramon Lopez and family, Barney Tarin and Family, all of San Antonio, TX, and Trina and Willy O’Kelly and Family of Roswell; a brother, Manuel Rincon of El Paso, TX; a sister, Lionor Dominguez of Fort Hancock, TX; and a host of other relatives and friends. Rigoberto was preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Guadalupe Rios Espinoza; a brother, Alejandro Rios, and two sisters, Luz Loa and Esmerita Rios. Pallbearers will be Gilberto Espinoza Sr., Gilberto Espinoza Jr., Martin Espinoza Sr., Martin Espinoza Jr., Alberto Chacon, and Gabriel Cordero. Honorary pallbearers will be Micheal Gomez, Raymond Rodriguez, Reyes Gonzalez, Armando Rodriquez, Simon Rodriquez, Tommy Gomez, and Juan Silva.
