Santiago Ismael Rodriguez

Santiago Ismael Rodriquez, 3 ½ months, passed on February 13, 2016. He was born on October 28, 2015 in Albuquerque, NM to Robert and Monica Montoya Rodriquez. Entering his life as a “preemie” at 3 pounds, Santiago fought to be born. He was a happy baby, just beginning to smile and recognize people and things around him. His favorites were to cuddle with his mommy while she sang to him. A cuddle was sure to bring a smile to his precious little face. He loved for his daddy to make him dance, bringing another smile not only to him, but to all who were blessed to see the dance. Santiago loved to be with his sister, who returned that love for her little baby brother. This dear little boy was preceded in death by Daniel Montoya, SR, great-grandpa; Robert Rodriguez, SR, grandpa; Josephine Perez, great grandma; Immanuel Perez, great grandpa; Julia Hernandez, great grandma; Lino Rodriguez, great grandpa; and Amelia Rodriguez, great grandma. Survivors left to remember Santiago are his parents, Robert JR and Monica Rodriguez of Roswell; Joseluis Gonzales, brother, of Roswell; Mayelli Gonzales, sister, of Roswell; Eliahs Gonzales, brother, of Roswell; Robert Rodriguez III, brother, of Roswell; Mary Montoya, great grandma, of Roswell; Daniel JR and Mary P. Montoya, grandpa and grandma, of Roswell; Domitilia and Jose Montes, grandma and grandpa, of Artesia, NM; Jessica Montoya, aunt, of Carlsbad, NM; Daniel Montoya III, uncle, of Roswell; Filimon Montoya, uncle, of Roswell; Monica Hernandez, aunt, of Roswell; Janice Rodriguez, aunt of Loving, NM; Pricilla Rodriguez, aunt, of Artesia; Loreto Quezada, uncle, of Artesia, NM; Ricardo Franco, uncle, of Artesia, NM; Felicia Quezada, aunt, of Artesia, NM; Jeremy Quezada, uncle, of Artesia, NM; Izaak Montes, uncle of Artesia, NM; numerous cousins, great uncles and great aunts. Visitation for Santiago will be Thursday, February 18, 2016, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory. A Rosary will be recited Friday, February 19, 2016, 9:00 AM, at St John the Baptist Catholic Church. Celebration Mass will follow the Rosary. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Chosen to serve Santiago as his Pallbearers are Daniel Montoya III, Filimon Montoya, Loreto Quezodo III, Robert Johntae Rodriguez, and Joseluis Gonzales.
