Thelma "Wizzie" Louise Cain

Thelma Louise Cain, also known as “Wizzie,” took God’s hand on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at home with loved ones by her side. Wizzie was born on July 13, 1937, in Lubbock, Texas, to Noah Elbert and Josephine Cain. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Wizzie’s family at www.andersonbethany.com. SERVICES: A Celebration of life for Wizzie will be held at Cahoon Park Pond on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Tim Arlet officiating. Wizzie was the third oldest to twelve siblings. After finishing 8th grade, she stayed home to help care for her younger brothers and sisters. Wizzie married Clarence Martin Tyler Jr. on January 22, 1955, in Roswell, NM. They were married for 25 years and had three wonderful children, she always loved children. One of Wizzie’s most favorite jobs was working with Jody and his friend’s respite care for children in Vallejo, CA. She took care of many children for many different families. An still to this day would get cards, pictures, and letters from certain families who still kept in touch as they saw her as family. Wizzie retired when she decided to move to Roswell, NM, where most of her family resided. Once she was settled, she started her own janitorial service, cleaned banks, and cared for disabled and older adults. Wizzie and her older brother, Buddy, opened up a second-hand store for a few years. She had a love for life, family, and especially children, they were drawn to her and loved her. Her friends and family always felt her love. Wizzie had such an appreciation and love for anyone she knew and would help anyone in need. Wizzie loved some old country music and would enjoy going dancing with her neighbor at the adult center. Across from her house was captain mountain, where she loved to sit outside and look at the view. Wizzie had a love for her grandchildren that was like no other. She would always have them anytime she could and spoiled them with loved and affection. SUVIVIORS: Those left to cherish memories of Wizzie’s are her daughter, Wilma Louise Boyd and husband Tim Boyd of Roswell NM, Susan Morton and husband Terry Morton of Ripley MS; brothers: Buddy Cain and Joe Cain; sisters: Nita Nichols and Betsy Dunivan; grandchildren: Latisha Boyd, Eric Morton, Angie Wilbanks, Terra Brown, Joey Tyler, Amy Tyler Norman, and Mary Cyko; as well as her great-grandchildren: Jaxon, Destiny, Serenity, Jennisis, Faith, Hunter, Jake, Eric Jr, Cassy, Conner, Tracy, Katie, Joey, Nathaniel, Ava, Lincoln, Ryan, and Adam. PRECEDED: Wizzie is preceded in death by her son, Clarence Martin Tyler III; granddaughter, Sandra Kay Dallas; great-grandson, Jacob Tyler Brown; parents: Noah Elbert Cain and Jody Josephine Cain; grandparents: Molly Martha Miller, Lawrence Edward Miller; brothers: Jesse Cain, Roger Cain, Ray Cain, Johnny Cain, and Norman Cain; and sisters: Wanda Gillis, Martha Chaney.
