Virginia Brady Gonzales

VIRGINIA BRADY GONZALES, 74, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Virginia’s family at www.andersonbethany.com. SERVICES: There will be a Viewing for Virginia at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Monday, March 16, 2020, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 PM. A Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. On April 25, 1945, Virginia was born to Abel and Augustina (Villescas) Brady in Roswell, New Mexico, and graduated from ENMU-R. Virginia was the beloved wife of Francisco “Frank” Gonzales, whom she married on June 24, 1966, in Roswell, New Mexico. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Virginia was part of the Fathers and Brothers of the Maryknoll Foundation. Prior to retirement, she worked for over thirty years as a Preschool Teacher at the Roswell Head Start Center. Virginia’s pastime interest was going to the casino for “Therapy.” She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, with a sense of humor and was adored by all who knew her. All who were lucky enough to have known Virginia knew her as a kind and gentle soul who dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy in life was spending time and making memories with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they were the light of her life. Her presence will be dearly missed by her friends and family. SURVIVORS: Left behind to treasure their memories of Virginia are her loving husband, Francisco “Frank” Gonzales; children: Gloria and husband Eddie-Ray Duran, Monica and husband Jose Rodriguez, Yvonne and husband Pedro Limon; grandchildren: Ciera Bautista, JoAnn Duran, RayAnne Duran, Yvette Gonzales, Johnny Gonzales, Savannah Gonzales, Daniel Rodriguez, Alejandro Rodriguez, Francisco Rodriguez, Destini Gonzales, and Bianca Limon; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Dolores Brady Hidalgo; as well as her childhood friend, Dillie Carillo. PRECEDED: Preceding Virginia in death are her sons: Johnny “Noko” Gonzales, Frankie Gonzales; great-granddaughter, Lyrissa Marie Ortega; parents, Abel, and Augustina (Villescas) Brady; and siblings: Wilfred Brady, Morris Brady, and Ninfa Brady Tegeda. HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Virginia’s Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. PALLBEARERS: Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Johnny Gonzales, Geno Gonzales, Alejandro Rodriguez, Francisco Rodriguez, Roman Duran, Josiah Duran, Francisco Bautista, and Emilio Silva.
